    So glad to finally have some good info on programming these servos. Now I can start playing around with the settings

    For anyone having violent shakes with the high power Futaba Servos (even with the servo direct to the receiver, bypassing the gyro) try changing BEC in your ESC from 6.0v to 7.4v, worked for me.

      Good info. I use an Acuvance RAD on this car so I don’t have the option to do that with this ESC 😅

    Thanks for the vid it was a life saver! SR mode FTW!🎉

    Soft start is exactly as the name implies. It only affects the servo when powering up, it will bring the servo to center soft and slow. Since the gyd550 does the initialization twitch, soft start doesnt really work. This is more of a setting meant for aircraft or grip cars where you wouldn't want the servo to snap hard and fast to center when powering on.

      I thought I noticed a bit of difference in driving feel while messing with it but I probably won’t be adjusting it in the future. Could have just been a placebo effect. Thank you for this explanation

    Mitch, you’re a lifesaver! I recently picked up a build that has a CT701 and the hunting has been so hard to track down. Gonna take some notes here and give it a try, anything you’d add for the CT over the CD series? I’ve heard it might need some more dampening from specific folks. Thanks again!

    • @RollingGarageRc

      I had a CT701 on a previous car that was really glitchy so yes possibly more damper and less stretcher than usual but I would also say try giving that SR mode a shot.

      @@RollingGarageRc Will do, thanks! I too was under the impression I had to forfeit telemetry to use SR mode but super useful to know that’s not the case. I’ve been running it normal.

    Definitely need to get a Futaba servo

    Hell yeah, Mitch! BTW, thanks for all your help with my RMX. It’s a damn good chassis.

    Can you use the 3pv with this servo?

    Hi Mitch
    I have a question is the cd700 compatible with Reve d revocable gyro? Or only with gyd550
    And can I run it without SBus?
    Cuz I have RPX2, Reve D revox gyro, agile 10.5 with 10PX version 8.0E
    Thank you 🙏

      From my understanding it's good to pair the two futaba servo and gyro together since they both can be programmed on the 7pxr or 10px but I believe the revox and the futaba can work together it's just revox you have to manually change the settings.

  • @DJ.1001

    I'm wholly convinced that there are defective and/or different firmware CD700s out there. My CD700 at factory setting would shake violently even just sitting at neutral with the gyro turned off. I have to run my stretcher in the 0.250-0.500 range as well as damper in the 150 range for it to work smoothly.

      Saw that recently with another one. Try switching to that SR mode. That helped a lot for that servo.

      Do you need to switch the receiver to sr also ?

    • @RollingGarageRc

      @@acha5070 See previous comments. You do not need to switch the receiver to SR mode

      I had the same problem and I found that it went away after I increased the BEC from 6.0 to 7.4 in my RPX 2 ESC settings. Let me know if that helped

    Can you setup the gyro to send info to the transmitter so you can use it for two steering servo's?

    • @RollingGarageRc

      I’m not sure. Most of us only use 1 servo. People that use two usually have to run two gyros

    What ESC Setup do you use to make the car so snappy? 😍

      Turning response is a combination of my servo and gyro settings but I use an Acuvance RAD

    Did you have to change the receiver to SR mode as well? I’ve got the same set up on two of my cars and my shark hunts so bad with this set up. My SD 2.0 doesn’t really do it but my skark oh man lol

    • @RollingGarageRc

      I did not so I retain my Acuvance telemetry display while my servo and gyro are in SR mode

    • @DabbathaHut

      It’s weird cuz if I don’t put mine in SR mode on the receiver it doesn’t seem to work right. And I didn’t know wouldn’t have telemetry in SR mode. Is this the same on a 10px with 404 receiver?

    • @RollingGarageRc

      @@DabbathaHut Yes it’s the same between the R334 and R404. If you are using DDSS try turning your damper all the way off. Seems counterintuitive but that’s what I’ve heard for direct steer chassis.

    • @DabbathaHut

      @@RollingGarageRc any risk of damage running in sr mode on the servo and gyro and the receiver not being in sr mode? It just seems wrong to me lol

    • @RollingGarageRc

      @@DabbathaHut Yeah seems like it wouldn’t work but that’s how I had my car set up in the video. Gyro and servo in SR mode and receiver on T-FHSS Telemetry Mode. You will have problems if you run your servo on SR but gyro on normal.
