On AVERAGE, we lose 50-100 strands of hair a day. It can be a bit more or less for some.
That bunch seemed normal to me if it’s been 3+ weeks! So I wouldn’t be alarmed. Especially since you did have your hair shedding within the braids and wouldn’t be able to see the shedding as you brush your hair like you normally would. 😊

I have a purple mattress. Started with a 3 but that was to firm. Otped for a a 4 and it was the best decision i ever made. I didnt like it at first. I was 100% sure i was returning it. It took about a month to get use to. Ive had mine for 5 years now. I believe to tiers have changed as far as 1-4. But i believe the 4 is equivalent to the top tier mattress. It’s medium soft and has been great for my back. They also allow 120 day trial period.

I’ve had the Mint mattress from Tuft & Needle. It’s right in the middle of firm and soft. I’ve had it for 3 years and I love it.
The tropical fruit medley is my favorite and I use unsweetened almond milk and a scoop of vanilla 😮protein powder ! It’s so delicious❤

Puffy Mattress !!! 🙌🏼 Memory foam, described at medium soft .. most of the other memory foam mattresses (from what I’ve researched) are medium hard. I own a Puffy mattress and it literally forms to your body, so soft. Best sleep of my life !
Tempur-pedic is the mattress I upgraded to. Molds to your body & adapts to body temperature. I’ve never woken up with a sore back since having it. Idk if it depends on the store but bed came w/ pillows that had a cooling gel layer built in to the memory foam 💙

Your comments about the transition from braids to your natural hair is so true! I have a lot of hair, but I currently have braids and I am dreading my soon to come take out process. However, I do it every summer, so I’m somewhat accustomed to it. It’s just a lot ijs lol

This time about half way through I’m going to wash and deep condition my scalp and I truly hope that helps😂
When I take my daughter’s braids out I usually finger detangle her hair first, it takes a long time but it’s minimal shedding and hair loss once you comb it afterwards. Comb from the ends and work your way up to the root, instead of starting at the root and combing through to the ends. Hope this makes sense. 😊

We love our Avocado mattress. It’s extremely comfortable and we always miss our bed when we travel lol. It’s firm but cushioned. You can adjust how firm you want it to me. Delivery to the home
I started with a purple mattress. I ended up not loving it, so we returned it and got a Casper. Which was much better for me since I'm smaller framed

Agree 110%. Got ours back in March and when I tell you this has been the best I've had in years...We had a Sterns & Foster before but now we have the S&F Reserve. Invest in yourself...try it out and again...invest in yourself!

I never understood ppl who said braids make your hair grow. I’ve gotten braids twice in my whole life and each time I lose a crazy amount of hair.
I understand what you are saying completely but I have gotten knotless braids and my hair grows faster because of me oiling and massaging my scalp, washing it once a week or as needed and putting in leave in conditioner to keep it moisturized. I guess for some, it works and for others it doesn’t.
@@ojpaiara53 agreed. I feel like it depends on your hair texture as well. Like if you have really thick coarse hair, your braids probably won’t make your hair fall out bc your strands are stronger. Also if you get braids more often your hair could be more resistant to breakage. Either way I’m jealous bc braids eat every time!!
Same here sis. Try out crocheting the hair. Like braid all your hair in cornrows and then crochets the fake braids in. It’s not the same look but it’s way better for your hair.
It’s just a protective style that helps you retain length.
That’s because you lose hair that has already shed. If you encounter breakage, maybe it’s the way it has been styled or the actual style. No, braid doesn’t grow ur hair per se, it just allows you to retain what is growing. It wasn’t to be use in a technical sense.😂😂

Nectar mattress girl!!! Let me tell you, I thought my other mattress was good but when I got this one, my sleep was 1000 times better. AND I don’t get woken up by my partner in the night when he tosses and turns or gets up for the bathroom. And he’s a BIG dude (300lb+) so that tells you. It’s soft and comfy but you don’t sink into it

Tempur-Pedic is the best! A real mattress! I highly recommend if you’re a back and side sleeper or if you’ve ever had an injury. It can be expensive, but it’s worth every penny. Purple mattress felt so fake to me, a total waste of money and time.
