When a component with heatsinks is destroyed, the heat they contain should go away; exploding things doesn’t squeeze the heat out of them like stepping on a toothpaste tube so it shouldn’t magically transfer back into the rest of the mech.
my assaults are 55-60kph and i STILL get left behind. and when i ask for help guarding the rear, they continue their nascar and our team proceeds to lose the game ha ha
@@nibvelocity How many Baradul vids have you watched were he discussed the importance of positioning is in a slow assault? They take skill to pilot, more situational awareness and map awareness than any other class of mech
@@larryy5166 i just recently downgraded my assaults from 60-70kph to 55-60kph. in the former is the sweet spot but less firepower. in the latter there are some maps that i get left behind even if i go straight for nascar. looking at polar and hpg manifold (i cant rotate fast enough). it's a learning experience and am enjoying it ha ha
@@larryy5166 Normally I tell teamates the plan I have in mind when piloting a slow mech(usually counter nascar and tends to be slower paced in the beginning). It's up to them whether to follow it or only have nascar in mind and don't care about the potential consequences of abandoning an 100 tonner bristling with weapons and armor. Luckily for me, in many cases it's actually working out, good to know there are players who know the importance of assaults or at lest a little bit of teamwork. Nascar still exists tho, but practioners in these cases tend to die quickly and some even ask why as if they never knew other playstyles existed too lol. Most fast assaults are from the Clan and they actually are feeled more like slower heavies due to the insane armor quirks some IS mechs enjoyed.
I love that build! Thanks for the heat management demo, Bara! The last time I played a similar build, I ran into a perfect counter - a Nova with 4+ flamers. I shut down, but he kept me so I couldn't restart while I got peppered by dakka. Finally got impatient (you can't prove I was scared and crying like a little kid!!) and started her up. Boom. Dead. Sucked. But it was awesome at the same time!
That kill on the gyr was amazing. They were pretty much fresh but they gave up the back and burn :D A bit of red mist descended at the end there on the Warhammer. I think if you had held back and let your mech cool as you had been doing, you would have survived the round. I love high alpha builds like this when you can get the perfect burn times but it's difficult to do in the modern game. Exciting games today Bara. Thank you for them.
i watch these videos every day and i can honestly say sometimes i get mad cause you show people how to make a bad ass build and im sure im going to have to face someone with this mech
Question, is there a setting on how the laser sounds? On your videos the lasers always sound awesome. When i shoot lasers the sound is so different and not so cool sounding. Everything else sounds the same though.
Hold up a sec.. All those lasers are converging on the same point! And the arm reticle is staying on the crosshairs! Who are you and what have you done with Baradul?!
I'm totally okay with ghost-heat, I think it's a good mechanic, I just don't like when it gives you an impossible amount of heat. A lot of weapons need the heat scaling reduced to a reasonable level, so that it's not a hard limit.
Gotta do this on the MAD-IIC-2. It has a 10% HL burn duration quirk! mech.nav-alpha.com/#bfa2889e_MAD-IIC2L (I run it with HLL + MPL's, but you could do it with HML's)
How hot is TOO hot?
Yes.
🤩
Yes.

Yes.
Love the sound of those heavy lasers. They sounds like drills.
I love the way the heavy large and medium laser sounds kind of harmonize
Baradul + Marauder IIC. I can watch a hundred times and live vicariously through it each time.

heat sinks dont contain heat, they process it. but youre right on the bleeding back effect
how dare you suggest logic
PGI isn't very smart
Cooking with Bara - love it. :D
Love nascar, especially when playing assault moving with 48kph speed and being left to die by my team mates
I get wanting to play whatever you want but a 48kph mech is obviously a bad choice for public queue...

I love the soundtrack to this one. Every time the lasers go off it's the music that plays at the drop in a movie trailer. Like at 4:43.
Haven't even watched the games yet, and already I love the build 🤣. Cooking with Bara indeed!
It’s been years since I’ve played MWO but I still love watching your videos.
Pretty satisfying when they die right at the very last second of the Lazer.
Not “cooking with Bara”, “BBQ with Baradul”
When I see Baraduls guitar collection, I get Keine Lust or Du Hast stuck in my head :)
I approve of the new Mini series: Cooking with Baradul :D

Laser builds are pretty consistent performers 👌
6:02 literally anyone who play assault and random ally jump in front of them... Luckily that was laser not the heavy gauss

*slaps some steaks on MIIC after alpha*
How y'all want your steaks cooked?
Very Rare please not charcoal
@@Firewolfslayer still moo'ing? Gotchu fam. 😂
Mini lasor cutter build Pir-3 with 5HSL, 1micro pulse, and lots of er micros for an alpha of something like 56 damage
PGI devs must have been around in the old days of MechCommander with laser boats.

If you check out the description for the video, there is a paragraph about which soundpack he is using, and where to get it.
@@MonoKabi Thanks!!
Thank you, mr.B)) I like your content))
Isn’t every video a cooking with Bara episode?🤔
If you had small heavies you could play some songs with them ;)
Flea was flamin’ you as u lost your ST in the second game .
Fun build
I've got a Hellfire that has a 100 alpha strike. 6hml 1hll 1atm12
Actually this is my Build on the Virago. Just one less Heavy Medium Laser. You have to be Patient with this build
Hold up a sec.. All those lasers are converging on the same point! And the arm reticle is staying on the crosshairs! Who are you and what have you done with Baradul?!
Pulse lasers are better. You can kill lights.
I play this but on an Arctic Wolf and minus one HMLAS

in the first game you werent firing all your lasers lol
It also didn't help in the last fight one of those lights was running flamers
what is meant by "Nascar"
!coolshot
No heavy small lasers? I feel like they should get some representation.
Man you guys really have to try Vox Machinae.
