I watched the original when I was 10 in 2015 (the year my parents allowed me to start watching TH-cam) and it's so cool seeing Anna grow up (Mia) after all these years. Super nostalgic. This is such a cool project and I had no idea you continued to film the parts as Anna as you got older. I go to test for my Drivers permit tomorrow and this was a reminder of how Gen z is aging, including me. It feels like yesterday I randomly stumbled about the original, but it's been 10 WHOLE YEAR? Crazy. Awesome video and I'm glad I got it in my recommended. :))
While watching this video, I realized that Anna's grief feels more dramatic when we don't see Elsa. In the movie we saw her and knew that she was there, also missing her sister, but here... Here we don't see Elsa, and it gives us more understanding of Anna's situation, who had been knocking on the closed door for 10 years
You read my mind 😮 at first I thought, did they get someone to play Elsa? But then I remembered there’s no point in doing that, since Elsa is just always in her room, and then I realized that this is like viewing the song purely from Anna’s perspective! It has quite a different feeling
Man, this is crazy. Kids who were like 7-9 years old when the first Frozen movie came out are now all grown up, went to high school during a pandemic, are now about to be, or currently are, attending college and starting adulthood, and before you know it are gonna get married and have children of their own to watch the movie with.
You know what's crazy? My older sister died the exact same day i went to watch Frozen to the cinema, when i was 9. They told me that night as she didn't live in the same city as me. I remember spending the entire movie thinking about her and how cool it was that "we were like Anna and Elsa", reminiscing the one time my grandpa took us to see snow and she helped me make a snowman, then as we didn't have anything slide on she sat me on her lap and we went down a small hill as if it was a playground slide. I miss her a lot, hard to think she should be 24 now.
@@sleepy.timaeus.arts. And there's essentially one movie where they actually did film it that way: Boyhood, which was filmed over the course of 12 years, one shoot per year. The lead actor was 7 at the beginning of filming and 19 by the end.
lol not really, it's not like they waited 10 years to release it. They first made it while she was little 10 years ago (it's the first part of the video) plus with an older girl playing as older Anna, and it was uploaded. They just "updated" it now with the first girl all grown up.
This version is so much better than the movies version because it shows more of the fact that Anna literally was by herself for more than 10 years. And the fact that she never forgot about her sister or decided to move on due to thinking she would never leave her room. 10/10 acting. Thank you so much for this masterpiece
This would work had Anna been the main-main character of the story, but the movie centered two main characters, and they couldn't antagonize Elsa. But I agree, this is a wonderful, amazing version!!
hits harder than if a child then a different grown up made it. since its literally the same person growing through her real life age, the baggage of her life experiences also comes into play. you could watch her not only mature in age but you could see the depth her acting has grown. this is something you wouldnt be able to feel even through live stages...
OMG I TOTALLY REMEMBER WATCHING THIS VIDEO 10 YEARS AGO!!! I completely forgot about it, but it happened to show up in my recommended and I’m sure glad it did!! This made me so happy to see her all grown up; soooo special!!🩷🥹🩷
My younger sibling and I tried to recreate the original video when we first saw it: I was 9 years old holding a shaky iPad and trying to direct a 6-year-old who had no idea what I was talking about. At 19, I'm studying film production and very proud to say that I've been a huge Lemonhead since then. Thanks for the inspiration (I'm crying now oops) and it's an honor to have grown up watching this channel. Can't wait to see what comes next!
Yes it's good, but what I love most about this is how she kept the same passion for singing and musical for such a long time. I love how you can see her improve with every iteration, both acting and singing. Great job!
Something about this being live action with the same person over ten years made it finally sink in just how cruel it must have felt for these sisters to mourn their parents alone.
Not gonna lie this video brought a tear to my eye. I grew up absolutely obsessed with the first one. I used to watch it nearly every day. It's what got me into the channel! When I saw this notification, it was like I was an 8 year old again, excited to watch the video after school... only now it's work instead of school. Mia has grown up so much 😢
Speaking as an actor and singer, I found it rewarding to hear her voice as she matured. I also am a fan of the red, so I am glad she didn't try to become a blonde, like many are want to do. I never went to see Frozen 2, because I knew that you can't go home again, and I was sure to be disappointed. Other reviews proved that out for me. Enjoy the work. People need some escape.
when this movie came out, it never really clicked to me how long anna was separated from her sister. this really put into perspective how much time passed by and ultimately how horribly afraid elsa was of hurting anna :( anyways, this is awesome! thank you for committing to this!!
Amazing. I wish people used this concept of using the same actor/actress and shooting over a period of time and watching them age in the film more often. I remember Ethan Hawke apparently made a similar film concept involving a family over the years. I can't remember what it's name is and I never saw it, but I loved the concept behind it
It’s a cool idea but I guess quite a big risk. Like you would have to keep you actors committed for all those years, they would have to not die during that time, what if you hire a child actor who you think is great but they grow up to be a terrible adult actor and look completely wrong for the part
Those tears at the end were not acted out, I can feel that feeling that you felt after finishing this project after 10 years, I send you a hug, beautiful❤
This is amazing that you have made this project over 10 years. As someone else said, it really hits home when it’s live action and you can see the real age difference. Your acting and singing is beautiful and conveys all of Anna’s loneliness so beautifully. In floods of tears now. 😢❤
It really put in perspective just how many years Ana was lonely waiting for Elsa. I would have been heartbroken if I hadn't been able to spend time with my beloved elder sister since the first frozen released!!! Some of my happiness memories with her would have never happened.
THIS IS AMAZING! The dedication you had to complete this over the course of 10 years is unbelievable! The outfits were awesome! The singing was great! The acting was on point, too!❤
A true testament to how far you've come, Mia. You're voice and acting have matured so consistently and flourished so beautifully. It's easy to think that we're chasing an unreachable goals and standards (especially in the arts). But when you think back to when you're a little kid, you remember that you are now the person you looked up to back then. Out here, it looks like you went on an incredible and thrilling journey. Crazy to think it's only the beginning. With the deepest sincerity, congratulations :)
I don't know why this hasn't gotten more views It's such a cool idea, and it was very well executed! The odds have got to be low of having a child that age around the initial Frozen peak who already has a great singing voice so young, who is also a redhead, and who is in a family that has creative ideas and a channel to spread it with

I just turned 7 too when frozen came out just in 1st grade and now I’m starting my senior year in high school. Time flies by. Are you also an incoming senior?

Okay this is cool, the fact that it’s actually all the same person. Also your vocals are amazing, even when you were really young!
This brought back so much nostalgia 😭. Loved watching this channel years ago and seeing this vid of mia all grown blows my mind. Missed you guys ❤
I REMEBER HER 0:08 !!
I'M NOT CRYING... YOU'RE CRYING. Absolutely beautiful!
Wow, I was a kid when I saw the first video as well. We all grew up with Anna. Amazing job👍🏽
Love to hear it!

Yoo! I remember this from 10 years ago!! I remember sharing it with my friends and watching it not realizing the amazingly long project it would become. Beautiful costumes through all 10 years!!
Omg working With Lemons yall are just childhood, thank you so much for that amazing childhood with your videos!! I can't believe it's 10 years since this..!❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for sticking with us!
@@workingwithlemons no problem, I can remember that I believed as a child that this was the real Elsa in the music video of let it go, and I was like, omg they hired the real Elsa for that video, now I know how computer animation works and how powers can be added, we'll i can't do that but some on our world can like i see 😍
I keep thinking of Frozen as a movie for little kids, much younger than me, after my own childhood. I'm constantly forgetting that, no, it was made for my age group - I saw it in theaters when it first came out, for my seventh birthday party.
I just turned 7 too when frozen came out just in 1st grade and now I’m starting my senior year in high school. Time flies by. Are you also an incoming senior?
As someone who grew up OBSESSED with frozen and these videos I LOVE THIS and it will be my new obsession for years, thanks❤
It took TEN YEARS to make this? Worth it!!
Oh my god this made cry so hard. You grew to have a beautiful voice, great caring! 🥹🥹
Oh this is so lovely! I’m crying over here because it makes me think of my kiddo and how they’ve grown over the years in their acting/singing and now I can see their future too! What a fantastic project and it must feel incredible to see it all come together like this!
I tried so hard not to cry but that acting was great 😭 I've always thought that although executing something like this would take extra time, it would make an absolutely magical final product. It's really amazing that you guys did this all by yourselves too, and now you have something truly special to hold onto forever. Thanks so much for sharing it with the world.
I have loved seeing this channel grow! And Mia!! Oh my goodness! She was so little just yesterday! I see her and think, “no, she’s not that age. It wasn’t that long ago!” I LOVE this video!!
I can't believe I was obsessed with the original when it first came out, think I watched it like 30 times
And now I'm about to graduate from highschool and TH-cam swooped in with this 10 year anniversary
love the dedication to this, this is absolutely beautiful and touching
I wish TH-cam had a love button. I got so emotional watching this. You did a great job conveying the emotion of adult anna!
I was 8/9 when Frozen came out and I was OBSESSED with it, now I studying architecture in colege and have my own apartment, it's crazy to see how the time passed so fast
OMG this was my favorite video when I was 10. It’s THE SAME video with THE SAME actress. Time flies😭😭
Wonderful acting btw🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
Her singing has improved so much over the years, so talented
Ten years of dedication and you made this song so much more heart wrenching than Disney ever did. Absolutely amazing. Now excuse me while I go find a tissue.
Stop it I’m crying - I can’t believe it’s been 10 years! Mia’s acting is 👌👌
Wow! You filmed this over ten years so that the same person could play Anna at all of the different ages she’s supposed to be? I don’t know how you were able to wait all these years to finish the video. That’s some serious commitment. I love that you did that!
Holy moly…i remember this..its insane to think about it! I think i was 6 (2007 baby) when frozen came out and im now graduating high school next year, class of 2025!!! But i genuinely remember being in 2nd grade and bringing an anna doll to show and tell, time flies so fast!!!
The chills I got at the last one. Wow. 😭
Wow, that definitely moved me, congratulations on the beautiful work and what a performance!!!
