    IVE HEYA Thank you for your reaction. They are the most popular 4th generation girl group in Korea. If you have time, listen to QWER's T.H.B song. It's a great band.

    Give me your heart, right now.
    I want to have a bite
    The lyrics of YU JIN's part
    It was originally made in Korea
    It's about the sun and the moon.
    You can tell by listening to the lyrics of YU JIN's part
    Chinese Culture = Dog Sound
    The Chinese don't understand Yu JIN's part 100%.
    But Koreans 100% understand Yu JIN's part.
    This is the biggest difference 😊

    You can tell the girls are rocking Chinese Knots and so many other traditional Chinese visual elements in this MV. Not trying to call them out for cultural appropriation. But it's so bizarre that the producer said they used Chinese elements but made it Korean. You can't just take another culture's style and claim it as your own.

    • @songwooda

    • @Panorama-memory

    • @NeonReactionsPierre

      People have become so stupid with all this culture appropriation bullshit (kids can't even play cowboys and indians anymore without somebody feeling pissed) .... Just let everybody do what they want, nobody ever claimed it was theirs so just let them have whatever knots, animals, pictures or who knows what else. The discussion is totally stupid for me.

    • @hsiskgijhgdjak

      @@NeonReactionsPierre Using elements from other culture is totally fine but the concern lies in the promotion of the MV as exclusively featuring 100% traditional Korean elements, that raises concerns about originality. Without acknowledging its origins, especially when drawing from historical or cultural elements. Clear attribution and acknowledgment of the original design's cultural significance would be nice and could have mitigated some of the backlash. But Claiming everything as traditional Korean without acknowledging other cultural influences is just not on.
      Much like how many artists globally love and incorporate African American hip-hop without claiming it as their own, instead paying tribute to the style, imagine if Koreans started claiming it as their own, it would likely cause quite a stir globally.
      Also, the illustrator of the MV initially mentioned drawing influence from China and even studied in Beijing. However, she has since removed all references to China from her work. Was this change forced by Starship?
