Love Bread .. my nan is from Liverpool and has a bit of Ma Boswell in her ...
Great series ...
RIP Jean Boht lovely lady 😢
Loved this used to watch it with my nana when I was a kid x
God I loved that show! I would have left Australia and moved to Liverpool in an instant if Joey had asked me to!!!
"Lilo Lil is a TART"😂😂😂
I've only just discovered bread I love it! I watch it every morning feeding my baby!
You'll be seeing a lot of Lie Low Lil's when you're in town, they still look the same.
It was a great show. I was 15 when it came out. Maybe it worked because it was a kind of mixture of the North West family meets Thatcher's Britain? Cheers
Ah the Original 'line-up' ☺. This will never get stale & still proper with character changes tbf.. Better than stuff nowadays/Barely repeated on BeeB!!
A belated *RIP* to Avaline/Gilly Coman seeing as been a goner over a Decade aswell. ❤'d her in this.😳
R.i.p EIleen Pollock lilo lil a legend
Aye, RIP..❤
Oh happy childhood memories 😍.. love bread!
Actually, it's very intelligent humour, and it's set in on of the greatest cities in the country. There is no way in hell that London and its people are as resilient as the Scousers.
That's why there's thousands upon thousands of mickey mousers living in London
i do miss watching this it was great even though it is from the 80s
R.i.p jean boht a legend.
Gilly Coman didn't die of Cancer she died of a Heart Attack
R.I.P Gilly Coman
from my year of birth - long live the 80's
Great comedy . Classic

waaah! I miss this!!!
RIP Jean Boht
classic simply classic
Sunday nights in the late 80s. It lost a bit of its character when they recast Joey and Aveline.
Certainly Joey, Avaline I could 'just' about accept, but not Joey, he 'was' Bread!
@@adelesteele4378 "Greetings"
I live the episode with Linda McCartney.
I Did Not Know somebody Garden The Man Said He Came from "Renaissance!"

I heard that Paul and Linda McCartney appeared in an episode. Does anyone know if their appearance on Bread is on TH-cam?
Hillarious too bad there were!nt more videos of this amazinglingly funny series
Original Joey and Aveline. The replacements did their best, but it wasn't quite the same afterwards.
'I 'ate this weerld.'
RIP Nellie
jonathan morris is the best
Good grief, I'd forgotten how tripe this was :-(
Even "Lilo Lil? SHE IS A TART" barely raises a smile.
Better than the CRAP on nowadays. You must be pretty unique eh.👍
Everyone ❤'d this 'tripe' when it originally aired! So you're definitely unique.. Or just boring tripe.
@@nickycotton6137 Thanks for replying to my 14 year old comment 🤣
*Checks* Yup, still tripe.
@@vinunleaded = Pleasure...😈 edit: Duty Called ;-)

one person I wouldn't have care if they had got rid of after season 2 was BIlly not replace him but had gotten rid of him
I love our Joey, hot, still hot!
Hi, Abit of useless information about Joey's style, writer Carla Lane styled him of a famous Liverpool ROCKNROLL singer , very very good looking Lad, BILLY FURY, born and brought up in same area Bread is filmed DINGLE, SOUTH LIVERPOOL.
Come on im only 16 and even i appriciate how funny this show is
Wow u are 30s now.
@MegaDave1973 Yes.Elwick street i think it's called. But I have to say, this is far,far from being one of the best British comedies.
its ron from goodnight sweetheart!!
Victor McGuire is the actors name.
I Love this show we watched all the time when we live in the UK In fact it's the only show I like and yes I like Both Joey's I did like Peter's joey better but I also like Graham and peter say he was glad that graham did not play Joey like him and played Joey his way as for aveline only Gilly is aveline the other one sucked
Good series for first 2 series but overstayed its welcome a bit the recasts weren’t very good.
Funny how Freddie went with Lilo Lil who dressed and looked like Avaline
billy at the start istalking about a used condom he baught whilst at work
@SuperTruth77 LOL rebel without a clue - isn't teen angst amusing?
Our aveline the aspiring model who ends up marrying the prist and the 1st Joey was integral 2 the show and once he left and was replaced the show sort of went 2 the dix-it was all abou JACK and his manic dpressive manifetations-tarts like Freddie'd LiLoLill.
Mars Programs 9
Could'nt agree more. It's never the same. All he did was say things through gritted teeth. The newer Avaline was also nowhere near as pretty and the first.
But not nearly so annoying either.
@rothery86 get a life and watch the whole sereies
It's either one or the other, they can't do both
🤦♂️
strike me down if Aveline's voice isn't the reason the rest of the country hates scousers
whens the funny
An appalling TV show. In my view this perpetuated ridiculous stereotypes and did significant damage to the image of that region of the North West of England. A dire show.
the daughter's horrible accent. Makes your ears bleed
The Boswell Incident
RIP Jean Boht
