I'd recommend molding your shoes after a ride or at the end of your day as your feet swell. The shoes will be molded to accommodate this.

Do you tighten the boas when its hot or will this damage the upper of the shoe?

Hi, do you know what gas mark I should set my oven to as it is gas, or is it not doable?

Do you think these would suit someone who has reversed arches, such as Charcot Foot?

Hi there, nice video - I have just bought riot mtb+ and the arch support is too large for me - do you have any experience how much the moulding could move the arch down? Is it just 1-2mm or maybe 5mm??? THX!

Before putting the warmed-up shoes back on for moulding, did you put the insoles back in?

Torres London Yes, replace the inner soles before putting the shoes back on. Sorry, we forgot to mention that!

If you have the boa system do you have to remove it?

Hi for Bont Mtb+ do you need to remove the metal screws on the lugs. Thanks.

Hello, You shouldn't need to, but please be aware that these may get hot. However, you do need to remove the innersole prior heating them. I hope that helps! Thanks, Lucy

What temperature it's to use and how long leave them inside?

A major problem with Bont shoes seems to be inconsistent sizing across the range of different models. My Bont Vaypor size 43 are noticeably smaller than my Vaypor + in the same size. The Vaypor also have much tighter heel cup right out of the box. Obviously, in the case of my narrow heels, the sides of the sole can be squished to make it narrower as you present in the video, but then that causes the sole to elongate a bit in the top of the back area...

That’s a pretty brutal way to do it, better technique instead of the screwdriver is to tissue pad them when hot, we have been moulding carbon ice hockey skates for years, look at the tips on True ice hockey skates, have done umpteen pairs and when you get it right they fit like a glove.

After heating the shoes, how long before you put the insoles back?
On my first Bonts, I placed it right after then mould, but the insoles shrank!
I have a new one coming. How do I avoid it from happening again?
    Thanks
