Aesop is a legendary fable-writer and storyteller. He lived in Ancient Greece in about 620 -564 BCE. These recorded stories based on the translations of Croxall and La Fontaine and the publication of 1925. There are several hundred fables attritbuted to Aesop. They are morality tales - which means that they are intended to offer a lesson, a thought, a moral.
