watching this again today, JUNE 24, 2024 and I still find this performance so very wonderful. Despite the error at the start, this performance is chilling, magical and awesome. Can never forget this. Thanks Daisuke for your talent.
as a figure skating fan for decades now, I rank this as the most emotionally expressive performance of all time. More dramatic than the movie itself. He feels every note of the music as the commentator. and may I add, he feels it with his heart and soul. His 2012 LP was sensually riveting and a classic now but this performance is something more evocative emotionally.
At the end, Terry questioned whether Dai would have another moment like this. He would have many more. He ranks among the greatest of all time, even without a gold medal or multiple World Championships.
There are constant talks about who was robbed and who was overrated, I am not good at judging. I don''t know whether Joubert was good or bad, but I never rewatch Joubert programs as I rewatch Takahashi's performances. I even remember, how Daisuke's 2010 sp touched me and I was telling my niece "he is so artistic that you watch his every movement and kind of dance with him" and she also started to watch.

I have to say I think Michelle takes the crown for most expressive skater, although Daisuke is my fave male skater
Who's here from his Phantom performance with Kana in 2022?

Who's here after his comeback annoucement?
Daisuke was robbed. Joubert is a has been and was never a very good skater to begin with.
