cedar oil is pretty safe for pets. That's what they are using here.

Hi Dave,
Ticks are a real problem but spraying to killing ticks means your killing a whole variety of insects, right?? Don't forget that you need a bit of wildlife in your garden in order to attract the good bugs and good wildlife like hedgehogs. I like to let my chickens and ducks eat all the ticks and slugs in and around the garden here.

There is really NO such thing as tick control...ticks breed by the billions daily its a battle that can never be won..

I disagree. Keep all the grass where people tread daily as short as possible. Keep all foods that deer like to a minimum. Fencing can help too. Control rodents.
Even limited spraying including cedar oil can help too as long it is light and doesn't affect well water.
