That's a really cool project Kennet and you've got to love coca soil. Ever since I found the stuff, it's been brilliant for propagation. I like this challenge, but I'm not really an indoor bonsai kinda guy. Yes I do have a few, but it's outdoor bonsai that I like best
This is a great project and well constructed. I shall be pruning my Ficus in another 3 or 4 weeks when I take them outside. I may try and join you with this challenge :)
I like it! Instead of cutting the long shots (if it's not too late), what if you swirled them all in the same direction around the foam and join the tips together at the top. It would create a cool twisted trunk when they fuse.
