The great frustration of driving. For all the obsessed, it’s hard to drive a car without worrying about something. That little rattle, sound, or weird feedback from the wheel. Wish i could drive a car without feeling something awkward about it. I guess that’s what we chase and that’s what makes it fun.
I was like this when I bought my e92 M3 a few years ago. After taking it on an open-ended trip from Florida to California (still in CA) I had to learn to “live a little” behind the wheel and not obsess over every sound. Car has been to Big Sur, driven scary far from the nearest gas station in the Mojave desert (even down a dirt-ish road), and so many more places. Cracked the front bumper, took a little damage to the rocker panel in Kansas... I’m at 99k miles now and I’m a about to stick it on a quick jack for a month and do a huge refresh... I’m really hoping it doesn’t hit reignite the neuroticism i’ve eased up on while nomading the M3 across the west.
To be honest I've never seen you happier around any other car than the M3.. you don't complain when it needs something, you just pay and not complain about doing so. Enjoyed riding with you, make sure you do this my more often Matt!

As long as you keep the E92 M3, I can feel good about holding onto mine! I've got the newer car bug bad. My brain keeps telling me to sell and get a 2017/2018 M4, but videos like this tell me HOLD, HOLD.
I bought a new Interlagos Blue manual M3 back in 2008. Like you, i change cars all the time. I kept mine for 6 years because I couldn’t find a another car in that price range that could be a daily driver, track car, family car, weekend warrior all in one. I miss that high revving V8
Just came upon this. Your filming literally brought me along for your ride. Most fun I've had in awhile. Cool property. I'm like you. I can have all the fun I need doing what you did and not abusing the car. Too much power can ruin the fun process. This car touches all the right senses.

You should replace the bump stops with e39 m5 bump stops, helps with suspension travel quite a bit. Also, Polyurethane diff bushings do help a lot with putting the power down
Put some miles on it! You can afford to fix whatever goes wrong, its such an amazing platform. Take advantage of the experience you have earned for yourself. You could always toss some e88s from slicer on it if you get bored. But I wholeheartedly support the idea of pov drives as often as possible, i will be tuning in!!
That silly expensive BimmerWorld Longtube setup looks and sounds the business. If I had the funds I’d get it for my second E92 M3. Really tempted to have twins
Find the UNicorn 🦄 MRF VELAFORZA EXHAUST. It is the best sounding bar none and I’ve heard them all. The mid section also produces the most power. I speak from experience as an owner for over 7 years. Only a handful were ever made so will give you a proper challenge and hunt. I’m in SC if you want to hear. As you already know the many configurations of exhausts sound a lot different in person.

I have Bilstein b6 damptronics coming from FCP euro early august. In theory it should be be TALLER than stock (zcp). Some people get dinan, swift, eibach springs to go lower. What you might want is the b16 damptronic coilover kit (PSS10) so you can dial in your ride height as you want. The B16 damptronic coilover from what I hear is stiffer than the B6 kit, but it's hard to get perfect information on the comparison between the two. Seems like most of the people who have them are on f80/f82

Beautiful M3! Have you tried heal&toe in a toe&toe orientation? Is it positioning or coordination that you're having trouble with? If it's the former, try putting half of your foot (or close to half) over the brake and then rock your ankle to blip the throttle. Been using this method for 26 years, even in an E92 M3, with no problem. Just master it before you get into traffic so your foot doesn't slip off the brake pedal!
My aa super charged m3 is running great for once. Lol! I’m still enjoying it though I get the new car itch frequently. An m4 with a tune and downpipe is just as fast and newer. Handles better and has more torque. But after putting 45k into my 2008 m3 I’m going to stay with it for awhile.
E92 M3 is better than M4. Go back to NA and get the bimmerworld longtube headers and full exhaust with some of the money you recoup from selling your SC. NA power is super reliable and will help fall back in love with the car after all that forced induction heart ache. Get the Carbon ole Tim too to complete the ultimate sound package. E92 M3 is the best. Maybe even source a P65B40 from BMW M directly as a couple are available on the low. Shhhhh don’t tell anyone
You can tell how much you love this car I am the same with mine. I think you need to keep it naturally aspirated. I think the best project would be to do a stroker the journey and selection of the best kit would be epic. Then do a Diff 4.1. You would have that amazing induction sound but enough power to keep that smile on your face. The thing about the e90 is the way the drive. There will always be something faster and more powerful but it about the journey, that unique driving experience you get from the S65. 👍🤟🇦🇺 Hope you guys are keeping safe and well over there Jp
Best car you own. Do not sell. Build a stroker w/ 292 cams, slap 4.10 gears if you want that 997 RS ratio feel. You’ll be just as quick as your 991 RS, and so much more involved.
Man I sure do wish my GT350 had that balance of intake/exhaust. I find myself driving around in normal exhaust mode a lot more lately to try to hear the engine.
Instead trying using the right side of your right foot to bleep the throttle as you're braking.. that's what I do, my foot is too big to actually heel/toe.
Just enjoy the m3, seems like you truly enjoy the car. Get an ESS SC if you’d like. Should be noticeably faster than your gt3 rs after that while maintaining original drivability.
Slower cars are underrated you can really ring them out and enjoy them without worrying about getting into some trouble whereas in a fast car you can only enjoy it for like a couple seconds before you go to jail

Matt, what Octane fuel do you guys use up there ?? If you looking for more power and torque for the M3 an option is to go maybe to 98 Octane fuel 🤔, 👍
