I’ve got an XL, Super XL and an XL-12, they’re still fairly cheap saws. Also have a homelite 8800 and a 540 which are both 88cc collector saws but they’re a totally different animal, weigh over 40 lbs with a 36” bar and chain….Ash’s shoulder would have come out of socket with one of those.

I read somewhere that in the recent cut released on Blu-Ray you can see one of the villagers holding it inbetween when Ash climbs out of the pit and when he shoots king arthur's sword. So he must have just grabbed it from the villager. Not sure why they would cut that out lol, it's the most glaring plot hole and of the entire Evil Dead trilogy lol
