Hi. I reciently bought an 08 Ruckus and am fixing it up. You vidoes are great. I ordered the final drive oil and syringe. Strangly enough, even though I know, after watching your video four times, that I had the hose down far enough. But nothing dame out after several tries. I loaded the syringe with the correct amount and shot it in. Then added a bit more until it over flowed, Crazy! i dont think it had any oil in it, Gary
Where can you find the syringe mechanism and the correct sized tubing that you used. This is exactly what I need! I just purchased a 2012 Zuma and the transmission oil drain bolt had been cracked off and the whole piece has been JB welded, so I have no way of draining the the transmission oil! Great job on your vids my friend.
These are the best repair videos. Question about oil in air box. I purchased a used Ruckus and it was surging when running. Found oil in air box where I think it was laying on side. After cleaning seems to run good. Have you ever seen that. Also I have changed engine oil will do air filter and gear oil. Any other major maintenance items. Everything else seems to be more adjustment items. I also plan on buying a Zuma 125 do you have any videos on them. Thoughts on which is better Ruckus vs Zuma.
Just discovered you and subscribed! Great videos! How many miles do you think a Ruckus is good for? I have one that's going on 15k, had it since it was brand new and kept it up good. I don't know if it's at the end of it's "life span" and should I get a new one or keep this one. BTW absolutely love your videos! ❤
Mitch, just found your videos. Excellent, your a man of few words and I like that. Very much appreciate the concise and clear instructions. Love that you use a torque wrench.. there's a butt though. The handle of the torque wrench. There is a center pin where they handle floats it's important that you don't tilt the handle so the edge is touching the bar in affects the Centerpoint of force and affects the torque reading. It's nitpicking I know but it's important. Keep up the excellent work.
Hi Mitch, My 2017 Honda Ruckus is stuck in a higher gear and has a massive loss of power during acceleration. I will try this after I open the transmission and inspect as you have done in the other video. Let me know if you or anyone has any recommendations/diagnosis. Thanks!
Question, is our rear wheel supposed to move at all (side to side) when moved by hand as it is suspended in air? Even a tiny bit? Or is it supposed to be stiff?
I have a similar question. I just noticed some end play in my rear axle. I got the exhaust and wheel off the bike to get a better look. I think its normal but I am not certain.
@@backandforthupanddow thanks for this info. When you say 1/8 inch is that the total wobble at the edge of the tire? I already ordered a replacement axle bearing and I'm going to change it to see if there's an improvement.
I have a Vitacci Clash 200 the gear oil is asking for 80w-90 with API rating GL-3 but can't find anywhere and the hand booker and dealer said not to use synthetic. Can I use Valvoline High performance 80w-90 with API rating GL-4 instead?

Why not use the drain bolt.
Not one for gear oil. Gotta take clutch off if u dont suck it out. Idk y they didnt make a drain bold for the gears
Nice video. Didn’t know I even had to change this.

I have a 2014,2016, and 2020 ruckus. They all have maybe 1/8 inch play in the back wheel. If that helps any. Much more than that I’d be concerned.

Why didn’t you crack the drain bolt
There is no drain bolt
Good vid
