There has never been a time when Ghanaian music was played more frequently than Nigerian music. While there was a period when Ghanaian music enjoyed popularity and was played, it was never to the extent of surpassing Nigerian music. It's important to clarify these facts. It is like comparing it to the current popularity of Afrobeat in the US doesn't mean Afrobeat is played more than Hip Hop; that would be inaccurate. The reality is that Ghanaian music lacks widespread international appeal and is predominantly limited to Ghana.
Honestly, I'm just getting to know today that these guys are Ghanaian musicians. No offence, that's how so many Ghanaian artistes are unknown in Nigeria, but they blame us..

People are forgetting population. Nigeria has the population to get the industry rolling .
What's Jamaica's population?
I cant stop laughing any time i hear ghana say they produce afrobeat😂😂 you’re not even ashamed to say such..ghana? Created afrobeat? 😂😂😂I don die
It's a fact. No discussion
You say what about Afrobeat! You started it bfr Nigeria 🇳🇬 Nawa oo
Honestly, I'm just getting to know today that these guys are Ghanaian musicians. No offence, that's how so many Ghanaian artistes are unknown in Nigeria, but they blame us..
Now, launch #Ghana_Stop_Talking_About_Nigeria
Don’t let this stress you. Overwhelming Majority of Ghanaians don’t have time for this. Go to the streets in 🇬🇭 and you will hear ppl play Nigerians songs. People don’t care. Video has 4.7k views for a reason
So, Ghanaian artistes dont copy Nigerian slangs and words to add in their songs? These people just complain about everything.
One funny thing is a country of about 300m population always competing with Ghana with only 32m.
For a Ghanaian musician to get even 1m views is not easy but in Nigeria even people who are just curious to know about the song will be over 5m .
Sadly a lot of Naija musics used Ghana as their lunching pad.
Ghana are the ones talking about Nigeria all the times
Come on, don't be a narcissist. Don't twist it. Ghanaians are the ones doing the comparison. Not nigérians! Like seriously? Please rest
This one is lost 😂😂😂.
Ghana is always competing with Nigeria and attaching Nigeria to every conversation whereas it's not same from the Nigerians.
These days, they use the Nigerian pidgin just to show flex.

Make Dem pack one side door. Who dey reason Dem sef?
Then explain why Jamaica with a population barely equivalent to Accra has many artists making numbers your musicians dream of.
Your music aside a few exceptions is subpar, your attitude subpar, and promotion subpar. That's why your industry is struggling
It is 2024 and Ghana is still thinking they are on same level with Nigeria in Entertainment?
Is it number or quality. Do quality music and u will get there. Created Afrobeats? Funny. The identity of Afrobeats is Nigerian and u can't sing it without sounding Nigerian.
But you guys always say we should learn from you 🤔
@@DicksonTarkora Yes you should learn from us cos your music is not cutting across, i have been to some african countries within the east and west ,i can tell you for the fact that Ghana music is nowhere.
You didn’t create Afrobeats
The Afrobeat sound is more Ghanaian than Nigerian and only Nigerians will debate that.
Gjanaians only daydream what others are doing
Ghanaians are definition of entitlement
How?
Nigerian artist do good music, no doubt but Ghanaian artist equally do good and quality music just that Nigerians are intentional about their arts..secondly Nigerians promote and patronize their own music..Ghanaians on the other hand don’t promote and patronize our Ghanaian artists..typical example, I was in New York for a program, the program had Majority Nigerians, as soon as the DJ started playing Ghanaian songs, one Nigerian guy woke up and went straight to the DJ and told him to play Nigerian music only because the program is a Nigerian program..this is how bold the the Nigerian guy was..Nigerians already have a bigger population than Ghana, so why must Ghanaians use our small population to be pushing Nigeria music? It just doesn’t make sense..Ghanaians equally make good music just that Ghanaians don’t know how to promote and patronize our Ghanaian artists which makes it hard for them..#I support 100% Ghana music airplay
Naija dey manufacture new slangs everyday.
Make una dey, dey!
Make we dey our dey!!
Ghana, do your do. Naija dey do her do, period.
Population isn't a factor... it's a global economy. Jamaica with a population of roughly 2.6 million make massive wave and impact with raggae and dancehall, Puerto Rico with reggaeton... likewise Ghana isn't as big as Ethiopia ( But musically more popular) congo don't speak English but once ruled our musical space with rumba and soukous ...its about the packaging and savvy
😂😂 Apart from Odo ye wu which other Ghana words has some Nigeria Artist uses....Rather Ghanian musicians are the ones try to sound Nigerian by using Naija langua and and street slang...
But it’s Odo yewu a Nigerian word..just listen to yourself and see what u just typed..a lot of your Nigerian artists use Ghanaian Twi words..
@@Yesumo1932 Who is this Banku republic bush animal...You don't know how to read a simple sentence.
Its a lie musically Ghana is blessed and miles away in music than Nigeria but the Nigerians are too good when its comes to the business aspects of music promotions that is the strength of the Nigerians
If Ghana is that good why are you comparing it with Nigeria music why not other African countries
@@carolc3725 i commented on this video because of the thumbnail Ghana is too much blessed with music but they need to workhard on the business side of music Which is proper musical promotion Ghana is better than Nigeria thats why you created the thumbnail because your thumbnail speaks about Ghana's positivity

U are part of the reasons why Ghana 🇬🇭 music can’t progress. Until u accept ur flaws hence u can’t progress
It's always funny to hear that Nigerians using Ghanaian words and the only thin they come up with is ODOYEWU...
And while the word itself means MY LOVE in TWI or something like that, ODO YEWU is YORUBA for WHOOPING COUGH or TUBERCULOSIS hence the name of the Song By Kiss Danial, but then, each to their own understanding I guess
Go and listen to your legend Ebo Taylor and you will stop claiming what you don't know how it came about, Ghana does not have sound but perching on other countries sound trying to steal it. The other day Samini, a failed artist in Ghana trying to steal South African amapiano
Ghana tries to steal amapiano eii this people
@@DicksonTarkoratry to steal Afro beat and amapiano go ask samini failed artist
Since when? I know many Nigerian songs that were taken from Ghanaian songs
Till you stop comparing the big Nigeria over 180 million people to the 32 million ,lagos size ghana ..there will be unhealthy comparison ..Nigeria has a lot of cultures
..every state is different and diverse ...why are you worrying Ghana ..compare yourselves with China and congo ..that's fair ...Speaking same official language doesnt make us alike .....we are 2 different nations and different dynamics ...leaves us alone ......meanwhile Nigerians come here and feel at home ..we dont feel same in Nigeria..........
Ghana cannot be like Nigeria in anything .....we have our challenges same with Nigeria.....the ratio aint the same ..its unfair comparison .
But our youth are seeing the need to rise up ....the old folks have disappointed us .....we are very rich with selfish leaders with colonised minds ....unlike Nigeria who made colonisation impossible.....love to Nigeria n Ghana .
Ghanaian artist equally make good music, enough of the comparison..Nigeria has huge population to push their music..Ghana is only 32million population..in music u need huge numbers to push your craft..joy news, we are in 2024, enough of the comparisons..In terms of quality music, Ghana also do good and quality music just that we don’t have the numbers to push our artists..but enough of the comparison..#I support 100% Ghana music
Other smaller nations have various Grammy awards with musicians well known outside unlike Ghana
@@fesderi3933 villager Grammy is not a yardstick for musicians..even alot of American musicians didn’t win Grammy..a village champion like u is so obsessed with Grammy..Bob Marley never won Grammy, Tupac never won Grammy, snoop Dog has never won Grammy, I can give u list of famous artists in the world with no Grammy..that Grammy has even turned political now..now it’s who u know..get out of your village lifestyle..
Cry some more
You why I pity Ghana’s! Even in America most of the successful artists there are from Canada but u will never know’ they are under American umbrella to shine but Ghana’s want to compete with Nigeria Charlie that will be their downfall
Nigerian music is far above Ghanaian comparison...
Nigeria music is taking channelling to American not Ghanaian music.
Meanwhile, Nigeria population is not more than 210m on exaggeration. Stop the exaggeration to as an excuse. Ghana is about 35m the last time i checked.
Again, ghana did not create any aftobeat sound. You created a sound and no one in your country can do it or is really doing now without sounding Nigerian. yet, you claim to have created the sound. Is that not broad day fooling of oneself?
You created what... That's the lie that has stunted ur growth. Your youth were busy vibing to your highlife when Nigerian youths created this sound, it only morphed overtime.
Talk it's cheap . Afrobeat belongs to u . From the 70s till now Nigeria has been given the world superstars. How many Ghana musicians can stand along side with Nigeria musicians . Nigeria started giving the world far back to 70s to the 80s..from Fela , to majek name them ..
