Some of us (especially in the US right now) have had to come to the conclusion that it’s ok for people to hate us, and it’s even worth being in danger, because not being our true selves is no longer an option. I’m completely at peace with people disliking and hating me. What I will never accept is them trying to control me doing what’s necessary to bring myself into alignment with who I am. I go home and live with me, those people do not.
