We’re all talking about how every TH-camr high-fived Huggy, but honestly kudos to the game developers! With the mechanics of the game, high-fiving Huggy seems like a natural thing to test out, so it’s drawing your attention to that area. It makes the key appearing in Huggy’s hand later EXTRA creepy. Oh oooh that's so cool! It seems that devs know a thing or two about human psychology, because they are very successful at catching players attention. Such a good game, omg
I know! That’s exactly what I was thinking - that when a player just receives a hand, there’ll be looking around for things to use it with, so when immediately presented with another hand, the very first thing that would be thought about is ‘high five!’
if you give the player a cool hand grabber device to play with, and then show a "statue" raising it's hand to high five, odds are, they will high five it. Thus, putting the key on the hand is actually pretty great design wise
As anyone who has raised a kid will tell you, having those hands up like that while running is what infants do. They deliberately put you in the role of child scared of a toy. That's such a weird paradigm to play on.

The one thing he missed up until now was that he could actually press the red button in front of the huggy wuggy display thing, which he thought he couldn’t.
He takes less than one minute to spit out a theory of children being turned to toys (which is probably true) but he literally takes forever to notice and find something that literally just happens or moves like right in front of him
In the first tape he watches the image is Huggies hand, the second tape has the grab pack in it but we all know that, the third tape has the claw on it, I don't know if he says these yet. just pointing out somethings to help with the theories.
I personally hope he waits a bit, maybe until the next chapter is out, because there are quite a few videos going through the game already and there isn't a lot of new things to add
15:10 Didn't realize when I watched Markiplier's playthrough but looking at the VHS screen now I can see that the screen is displaying what seems to be one of Huggy's gloved hands🧍

Love the gameplay and all but I'm sad that he didn't press the red button to listen to Huggy's song or notice Huggy stalking him while he was getting the red hand for the grab pack
Chocovania sounds like Castlevania crossed with the Count Chocula cereal, like you're a cereal hunter entering the Counts castle to steal his cereal, and have to fight him and his monster buddy's to get it. I'd play it.
I'm honestly really surprised no one has once compared this to BATIM. the similarities as huge, especially with the whole letter to an ex-employee. It's like a mixture of Bendy and sister location and its amazing.
I like the little detail about the vhs tapes, and the clue to what the next environment will be or what happened during the vhs. Like the first tape having Huggy's hand, second one being a grab pack tutorial, the third one being the claw machine, the fourth being Poppy's hand (which fun fact: va for poppy is va for Stella Greyber so great little detail), and the last tape to be a skeletal hand while we can only assume Huggy in the background running around to give people "hugs". It's the little details they put in that make it so much more creepy and fantastic.

And Ranboo streamed this yesterday lol
@@Cal_iforniaGirls who?
I’m not gonna lie, Huggy is absolutely terrifying when he starts chasing you.
The organic animations and how tall he is really anmplifies the effect because unlike most games hes super flexible because hes not a animatronic
Matpat, the only gamer to be more concerned with the little details than the actual game
I love how matpat talks like he is live but isnt live it gives it the perfect gtlive vibe
I'm so happy this game is getting this much attention. It makes it more likely we'll get the rest of it, and I am in desperate need of the rest of it.
I really love that toothy grin the hug me toy has, it just sends shivers down your spine.
Both Mark and Mat missed the Huggy Wuggy song AND the small Huggy Wuggy scare in the inventory room where they get the right hand.
He takes less than one minute to spit out a theory of children being turned to toys (which is probably true) but he literally takes forever to notice and find something that literally just happens or moves like right in front of him
I never imagined the theory man himself would be that bad at puzzles.
I mean, these puzzles have nothing to due with dead children and animatronics, it's out of his comfort zone
Ayyyy cousin
@@randomwhocares4320 *Cough* security breach *cough*
In the first tape he watches the image is Huggies hand, the second tape has the grab pack in it but we all know that, the third tape has the claw on it, I don't know if he says these yet. just pointing out somethings to help with the theories.
I just noticed that! Can’t figure out what’s in the screen for the pink and grey tapes tho.
I could not tell what were on the pink and gray tapes either I will edit my comment if I find outthough.
I can’t believe he missed the beginning part of the lore with the missing employee thing
You should do a theory on poppy playtime and explain why the employees are missing
Bro the full games not out yet if it's a puzzle he'll obviously do it but the game might not have any secrets when it's over
I personally hope he waits a bit, maybe until the next chapter is out, because there are quite a few videos going through the game already and there isn't a lot of new things to add
Because the company took their souls and put them in toys. These games have become so predictable
anyone else rewatching all of the games before chapter 3 comes out ?
First time ever for me
15:10 Didn't realize when I watched Markiplier's playthrough but looking at the VHS screen now I can see that the screen is displaying what seems to be one of Huggy's gloved hands🧍
Matt should be costuming as Mark's Shadow for Halloween, cause man! He's following right behind him. 😁
Oh yay!!! I was really hoping you’d play this!! Much love!! :D
21:38 Perhaps the year is a reference to George Orwell's novel, 1984. Poppy playtime could take place in a dystopian world where you are constantly being observed just like Winston and Julia in the novel.
I love Matpat but this man never fails to make a fnaf comparison with most indie horror games he plays
this wont be bad right?
*guy in purple shows at the start*
LOOORREEEEE
I watch this right after Mark's video. I really wanted to see Matt screaming over huggy wanting to 'huge him
Same
Oh my gosh, this is amazing, ALL of my favorite gamers have apparently decided to coordinate and release their playthrough of this game on the same day...
Excuse me, I gotta go binge watch 3 playthroughs of the exact same game rn. I'm not even kidding. So happy!
Same! I have watched Mark, Lixian and now Matt. It is fun to watch how they approach the same thing.
Just started watching Matpat play this game, I bet he’s gonna have a fun time trying to piece together theories to figure out the lore.
As soon as i saw Poppy Playtime I immediately got Bendy vibes but with a toy factory mans even wants to bring the toys to life like this was very clearly atleast somewhat inspired
When matpat and markiplier both have the same reaction but on different events lol
*yyyyYYYYYYYÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆHHHH!!!!!!!!!*
I saw the new theory, but WHERE IS THE PART 2 OF THIS STREAM!?😭👍🏻
I’ve been wanting you to play this for so looooooong! If this doesn’t get a theory after a few more chapters come out then so help me
I'm honestly really surprised no one has once compared this to BATIM. the similarities as huge, especially with the whole letter to an ex-employee. It's like a mixture of Bendy and sister location and its amazing.
Yeah I always say it’s a mix of fnaf batim and tattletale , it takes all of it and mixes it up amazingly
@@butterflyvlogging9004 pretty much yeah!
That’s what I said
Anyone else hurry to watch this just to hear Mat say dolls/"dahls" in that accent? XD
Mat pat you scared me on 28:49 I KNEW IT WAS COMING BUT YOUR JUMPSCARE SCARED ME
Awe, yeah! Precisely what I wanted MatPat to play every since I watched Manly's video.
What I like about this game is the quality is so cool! I love how fluid Huggy is when chasing you
37:53 If that's your reflection, does that mean you're just a shadow wall this whole time?!
Matpat talking about lamb chop play along just activated a memory, for YEARS I haven’t been able to remember what that show was called. Thank you
I’m glad that MatPat has gotten over his box stacking trauma. When am I going to see the rest of this?
13:37 "Where'd all the Huggies go? I could use a hug. Famous last words, I'm sure."
Who else choked-
Matpat has learned so much about children's entertainment from all these horror games that really he could start his own toy business
Sir or Madame, i hate to inform you, but even if the authorities do not catch you, your creations WILL find a way...unless supernatural elements do exist, in which case, i guess it just takes being lucky
First steam review I found for this is amazing.
"10/10. Would s**t my pants again."
Baby doll under the stage with a glow stick and that’s it. Good friendship there
I’d put the glow stick there so it could be at least seen a bit
2:52 OBSESSED with matpat mentioning mars argo!!!! i think about this way too much LOL
i literally just drove myself insane looking for this clip 😭 LITERALLY 2 hours just for it to be on THEIR VERY FIRST POPPY PLAYTIME VIDEO????
Why did everyone missed Huggy that was on one of the upper layers- QwQ
Timestamp?
@@RToast13 a little after 35:07 you can see him in a vent at the top right corner
Bruh why is it whenever MatPat plays the game he coincidently misses all the GOOD parts. Like he completely missed the thing that shows why hes there
The we are still here paper, the huggy wuggy theme song, and when huggy wuggy is stalking him in the vents is all that I noticed he missed.
@@prestonknaack yea mann. I really hope they end up completing the game. Honestly i Love MatPat but it gets tiring when we get excited for videos and half of them are him messing around :/
