Just like me too I've shared all of my 12 different cannas, gave 10s of lotuses, bananas, ferns etc. But most importantly, lot's and lot's of young trees that I grow from seeds just for the fun of it. And in return I got 100s of cuttings etc from my friends. Last one was 2 weeks ago. A whole pot of Thalia ❤️
This is a man's garden! It's like a man cave but outdoors, hope that make sense 🙂... and this is where I draw inspiration from for our garden... I bought 3 or 4 plants that I saw in this episode and they are flourishing now... I just love this episode! I come back almost everyday, hahaha! Not to be creepy but the naturalness and it's unpretentious beauty just draws me in... you get a homee vibe... Mr Chow is like my dad... my dad is a retired military man, if he was still alive, this is how his garden would have looked like... that is why our garden got a major revamp because of Mr Chow... he is such a wonderful host! Thank you for this episode Leafing Around! You are the best! ❤🇵🇭...
So heartwarming to hear. I shall let Mr Chow know! This was a time when he invited us over for tea and then I was thick skinned, just whipped out a camera and asked hey can I pls film your garden😄. Glad this has helped you to transform your garden!
The water feature is relaxing. He gave a plant gift... This video reminds me of Barbados 🇧🇧. You visit someone and they gave you gifts from their garden.
I am looking at you from Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean....I really really love looking at your show....you are just so "you"...and I love that about you...so natural. Take care. GOD BLESS YOU...and keep making me happy through your vodeos..
Irene you absolutely NEED a fish pond! I even have a small one in my dining room because they are so wonderful and so I can over winter my tropical water lilies, papyrus, etc. I have a pump on a timer in it and that waters my plant wall through irrigation drip tubes with the water (and fish poo) and does a partial water change for me so all I have to do is top off the water once a week. 2 birds one stone. Warning though. Water gardens are addictive so put in the absolute biggest one you can otherwise in a year you will be ripping it up to put in a bigger one! (That was our Covid project and we are ready to make it even bigger! ). It is my 5th pond.
Because of your channel I became addictive to tropical plants and spent lots of money lately on orchid, heliconias, ginger, and other tropical plants I can’t pronounce. 😁
Hi Mam irine I'm liezi from Philippines,im so amazed about your house garden and how you design it,last yeer me and my husband visit Malaysia Kuala Lumpur,I'm so amazed and loving all your philodendron plant, especially your begonia,I love philo, monstera but I'm found of begonias they have characters that even they not that eye catching like philo and monstera do,but for me I more amazed by their character and beauty......actually as I watch you planting and making your garden ,I love planting but here in manila we have a little space and there's no space for me to plant,I hope that one day in the future I can make me a garden too and design it my own.......
Hi Liezi, there are so many lovely plants in Phillipines too...especially Alocasias! I hope you can find a small corner to make that your cosy little green paradise🌴🌿🌱🍀
😍 WOOOOW!!! your videos are wonderful 💞 , of which I feel very identified because we have many of those plants in Puerto Rico🇵🇷 which is in the tropical zone. I really liked the noise of the water and the pond Well I also think it is very relaxing in a garden. A BIG HUG to you and the Mr. Chow from Puerto Rico. 🇵🇷😉👍
What a beautiful garden. Mr. Irene, please let your wife have a small water feature in her garden. Water sounds are very soothing, every garden should have one.
Wow,i love heliconia plants,i enjoy watching espicially the pond with the plants and fish too.with the owner, thank you for sharing your beautiful garden and pond.
Hellow what a lovely tropical gardenthat water fall the water plant locks so good and peacefully ifs so great to see your blod because every one its beter tan the oder one CONGRATULATIONS 🤗🙏👍
I love your channel. In the Philippines we have camia or the white ginger lily. Our Camia plant continued to bloom profusely with the rains and cool weather. With so many flowers, it's so extraordinarily fragrant. I smell it when I open the bedroom window.
Lovely video again Irene! Wish you all the best for a water pond. I just got mine done here. It's small and specifically done to grow water lilies. Peaceful and loving it.
Great tour! I love all these Heliconia, gingers, and other tropical plants just grow happily without much care! I think that mystery plant is a Hosta, but they are cold climate plants. Maybe it’s some kind of elephant ear? My pond is “the cherry on top” of my garden! I hope your husband changes his mind. if you want a waterfall, you’ll be amazed what TEAM Aquascape builds in Chicago, USA. Whatever you do don’t build it out of concrete! It’s such a headache!
Thank you and I am a barefoot loving gardener too! Just have to watch out for 🐍 😄. Instead of a waterfall, I am now installing a spiral staircase painted in blue...if I imagine hard enough, it can be a waterfall.🤣
Not yet but he is going away for the next few days....I'm thinking to just commission someone to make one quickly. He never goes out to the garden anyway....maybe he won't notice :P
The white flowered plant is kalyanasaugandhika...very common in Kerala ... India.. because of it fragrance it is believed that Bhima(Maha bharata) brought it from Gandhamarutha parvath for Panchali...
We eat sweet potato leaves (kamote tops) too, either boiled/blanched then dipped in a local fish sauce with vinegar, or as one of the ingredients of sour soup (sinigang) with beef, pork, shrimps/prawns or fish. Kamote tops are said to have high nutritional value.
Just discover your channel a few days ago. Love all your plants tour like Penang hill, plants cafe, and home tour etc. Please bring us more to similar tours in Malaysia. By the way, the big leaves plant is cardwell lily. I have one at home too.
Thank you for appreciating mybtour videos! Tour videos are fun to do and yes I shall certainly do more Malaysian garden tours in 2021! Thanks for the plant ID btw!
It feels homely, I thought it's a garden tour in southern most Indian state Kerala, we have the same plants, fish, and every house has a banana tree etc.. and I think we got the same climate . 😊
Thank you for showing us around such an interesting and well maintained garden, I really liked the mixture of edible and ornamental plants. The plant you are unsure of may be Proiphys amboinensis.
Mis, kamu suka sama tanaman tropic ya ? Saya selalu mengikuti video kamu.
@@leafing.around I bought a hose and sprinkler but the sprinkler doesn't work so for now I'm just hosing at night. We don't have running water during the day. I think I'm going to have to rethink this project. 😂 I brought most of the tropical plants into the verandah where I can take better care of them. What's outside will live or die. My heliconias are doing great which surprised me.
Just like me when someone visits my garden I give them plant gifts.. it's good to share our love for plants 💚
I LOVE how generous gardeners are! My fav friends are gardening friends....Mmmm. Plants!
Just like me too

Some people are still plain old honest gardeners. Loved his generosity.
I love that youre visiting other peoples tropical garden.. ❤️❤️❤️
I'm doing more of this in weeks to come but hope the Covid don't get any worse and we go back into lockdown again... :(

Love your videos, this guy has a gorgeous garden 👌
Yes and he is a true gardener, propagating them himself, not chasing trendy plants and instagraming them ...😄
This bloke is like me, i believe that less is more. The pink plant all along one side..the yellow all along the other side. Stunning,
Yes...something to be paid about simplicity! I am more a hoarder. Maximalist type😅😅
Loved the video! Awesome and friendly host, gorgeous garden, gracious owner, and loved the plant gifts! Those heliconia are amazing!

A very enjoyable video. He has a gorgeous garden and fantastic plants. Thank you for doing the video, I really enjoy these garden tours!

You have a wonderful & generous neighbor..
Yes...and have collected more stuff around too lately! Another neighbour threw away a lot of nice wooden planks! Vertical wooden wall here we come!😃
Wauw.. beautiful 👍
Thank you plant sister!
Beautiful garden and pond

Ginseng Jawa is called Talinum here in the Philippines --- not commercially available vegetable but can be found in some farms and gardens.🙂
White ginger lily is Camia in the Philippines....maybe found wild in our province Albay.😊
That is a shade plant called a hosta, flowers once a year either with a white or purple flower..but beautiful.
What is the name of that white flower plant. We call it kalyanasaugandhigam. I think it's ginger type roots
Wahhh. Uncle banyak tanam ulam. Very nice ✔️
Lol! I like how you convince ur husband to have a pond in ur garden
Haha...but he is still not convinced. He thinks it will attract frogs...and then 🐍 snakes 🙄
@@leafing.around yes, but you should just adjust with patio pond😂🤦
Beautiful Garden🌴🤗
Because of this video I bought myself several root cuttings of Heliconia Sexy Pink. I hope they will bloom in less than a year.
😁😁. Best of luck! Somehow I struggle with Sexy Pink...I think they need a lot of light
Nice heliconia😍👍🏻
👍🏼Very sweet video. The ??? is the Caldwell Lily.
Очень красиво и атмосферно! Пышная зелень и шум воды.... Это рай на земле!
Thank you...I am blessed to be in tropical place. But we have those damn mosquitoes here :P

Que lindoooo lugar jardín 😍🌿🌵🌾🍀🖒🙏❤ bendiciones
Oh how I love the video 💕💕💕🙍🏿♀️✋🏿🙏🏿
Thanks Claudine! :) This was rather impromptu...we were invited for tea and I turned up with a camera 😅
I love plant gifts. I know you're excited.
Ginseng jawa is used to make dal in south India...it's called cilone batchali
The music feels like victory parade of war movie ☺️
🤣🤣🤣 yes parade of the victorious plants!
A disappearing waterfalls by Waterscape Malaysia would be perfect for your tropical paradise
I think so too!! Are they sponsoring🤩
@@leafing.around Not sure about that but I'm sure some kind of arrangement or collaboration can be made.
Beautiful 👍
Amazing!🥰
Oww..ow..i'm looking for that pink heliconia too 😭👋👋
I want the heliconia you got 😅 I'm really envy about it
I hope you can find them where you are!
Great video... Amazing
The big leaf that you both have that flowers sometimes looks like a Cardwell Lily. I love his water feature!
Aqui no Brasil tem essas plantas muito legal
Now I know that fish poops can be a great plants fertilizer too .
The plant that you were questioning, looks like a Hosta.
Beautiful garden
Yes, and such useful plants there too! :)
Beautiful!🥰

If I ever made garden, I want it be like his with lots of edable plants and water feature that can grow fish.
No offence but if I wanted a water feature, no one was telling me I can't have a water feature 😂
I love maiden hair ferns, mine can't grow because the birds are always eating the plant/ fern.

Haha! I love Tip # 8.
