    Awesome!
    My B 2600 is in the post to me right now.. Same colour as yours.
    What wood did you make your sides out of?
    I saw a B 2600 up for grabs on FB and knew nothing about the existence of the original ARPs nor their value today so I did some research and watched some you tubes covering the Behringer 2600 with all its flashing lights toboot.
    The shear might of sound with three VCOs going through the whole nine yards just sold it within seconds.

      I bought them on Etsy. It was a pretty good deal, they’re Poplar.
      I got my 2600 on fb marketplace too haha, I was unsure about it, but figured I might as well give it a chance. No regrets!

    Great video. Seeing as you asked, this is the sound of capitalism behaving as designed. Intellectual property protections intentionally have a limited duration and after that it's all fair game. Morals have nothing to do with business unless they harm sales. [Personally I'm not a fan of laissez-faire capitalism but it's what people say they want 🤷 ...can't have it both ways.]

    The more competition the better! I'm a big B fan, it's my favorite brand. Used to be a Roland head, but don't like their new synths- their last great/original synth was the JP-8000. Can't wait for the JT-8000!

    NOOOO VERBOTTEN YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO USE BEHRINGER

  • @burythebonehead
    @burythebonehead 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Hey! At the beginning of the video u quickly flashed ur abelton grid with what looks like midi? Is that how that works or are you just recording the generative-ness from the Behring into ur daw and capturing it more so

    • @Sound_ology
      @Sound_ology  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey, yes it is midi. I wrote out all the arpeggios and everything in ableton, then used the 2600 to change the timbre throughout the piece.

    • @burythebonehead
      @burythebonehead 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Sound_ology interesting! So it’s not necessarily a patch on the 2600 but the 2600 is just scanning ur midi information??

    • @Sound_ology
      @Sound_ology  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@burythebonehead well the midi from ableton is just sending which notes to play and when to play them. The 2600 patch tells the synth what sound to actually make for each note. Basically the synth needs 3 inputs: pitch, timing, and timbre. The patch (and my hands) controls the timbre, but ableton controls pitch and timing.

      @@popcycles Well I ve checked your channel.
      You have no sound or video recorded.
