I was fortunate to attend this concert. CSNY were considered broken up, with members releasing solo records, and this ill-fated tour was considered a comeback tour. First, I want to say I've never heard acoustic instruments so loud and so clear before or since. Each member had a solo segment. Steve Stills walked out with a Gibson Explorer, and dedicated his part to his late friend, Jimi Hendrix. I was 17. In those days you could go late and some suit didn't come along to pull the plug at midnight. The crowd was nuts, with Crosby asking, "Are you always like this?" (to a great roar) and they stretched it out and played a bunch of unreleased stuff, but this little duet with Neil Young is what rang in my head for days.
I was at this gig and I have to tell you it was not the best of adverts for CSNY! Nothing else they performed that night came close to this as the drugs fully kicked-in. Thankfully the day was saved (for me at least) by an early performance from The LA Express.
Ps: Wrong gig. I mistakenly thought this was Wembley (England) 1974! They really were so out of their heads on the day in question that a kick in the teeth for all the hard-working kids that funded their on-the-day habit is the only way to describe it. Rant over!

Quite the duel between those two, eh?

Angry Stephen with his angry pal, Neil.

Massive egos
Well, I would think with the work that they’ve done decade over decade that they deserve to have some level of an advanced ego you nimrod.
