- Curtin University’s Dean of Global Futures Professor Joe Siracusa has reacted to the shooting at former president Donald Trump’s Pennsylvania rally.
A bullet had pierced the upper part of Mr Trump’s right ear and he was evacuated from the site by the Secret Service following the gunshots.
Mr Siracusa described the shooting at Mr Trump’s rally as a “catastrophic failure” of the Secret Service.

I work on rooftops downtown. I saw snipers covering the BLM riots and the day time marches. There was even sniper coverage for the pride parades. There are police snipers at so many more events than people realize. It's hard to believe that there wasn't any sniper coverage for a political rally. It amazes me that Secret Service missed the shooter setting up the shots. After the police and Secret Security were alerted 4 minutes prior to the first shot.
The shooter was taken down almost immediately AFTER getting his shots off. He had a clear enough view to setup and acquire a target and get at least 3 shots off before being countersniped.
Even if they couldn't see the shooter why wouldn't they pull Trump from the podium at even the hint of a sniper.
Almost like they didn't want to risk the shooter becoming a problem later...
the LEO sniper had the shooter in his sights long before the assailant fired... the sniper waited until after he fired several times then took him out... why did he wait?

A witness being interviewed by the bbc, said that they watched, for about 7 mins, the shooter getting into position, they shouted out to the Secret Service and the cops about the shooter, but they did nothing.

Very suspicious that witnesses saw the sniper and desperately tried to call attention to it some 4 minutes before shots were fired and were ignored.
Even if you allow the excuse that they couldn't see due to roof slope (I call BS), the shooter WAS at the very least visible as he set up the position and acquired the target. He was shot almost immediately AFTER getting 3 shots off.
And why wouldn't they pull Trump from the podium at even a hint of a sniper.
