There is this large Vietnamese indoor shopping center in Berlin, called the Dong Xuan Center.
In the middle of a watch and jewelry shop, there was a massive 8foot statue of the creature of the Alien movie series, completely made of cheap watches and some other metal rubbish.
I was in awe. That was art !
I think it's gone now, an online search didn't yield any results, instead I found a statue of the creature from the Predator movies, equally impressive.

in my opinion I think really cool art is art that impressive because of the limitations of your "canvas" so to speak.
pixel art with it's pixel borders and limited color pallet means that artist has to constrict the shape into pixel perfect lines and really small details. Ascii art is a one up to pixel art where there's not just a grid of colors, it's 2:1 cells that you could put small shapes in it.
And of course there are ascii and text art generators which programmers but most of the ones out there just treats each character like a shade of grey which is boring, also it's especially cool since you can paste text in a lot of random places like a chatroom that allows newline characters or a terminal window where yet again programmers fight for who has the best terminal art!
Also there's one liner art, and if you could make your art start and end at the same point well it can be turned into an oscilloscope signal. Man I love random format conversions like that
