Hey Mikey. Those batteries are interchangeable - so you could’ve swapped the rear battery to the front, shifted to the small ring and put it back on the rear.

Some general rules when going downhill:
1. Always be down on your hoods, lower center of gravity, more traction on the road
2. Pressing down the opposite pedal of where you're turning in corners while also making sure to roll bike underneath ever so slightly instead of your body
3. Imagine a line where you wanna end up and look way ahead, not where you are currently (avoiding target fixation)
4. A slight turn to OPPOSITE direction just before a turn so the force is bringing you into a right position for a turn (look up counter steering, its advanced technique)
