Otuken is a Russian band. Siberia. Very talented people. The vocalist with a magical voice is called Azyan.
They live in Siberia son in Russia but these native people are Khakhass Turks originally and yet they are Russian on the papers ;) Maybe you heard about the theory which says native Americans came from Siberia to America and the first nation from Africa to Asia and then Europe ;)

There are a lot of different groups of people native to Siberia. Siberia is huge and stretches all the way to the Bering Sea across the water from Alaska. My wife is Sakha (Yakutian), from Yakutsk. The Sakha language is a Siberian Turkish.

It is a collaboration. Otyken is a native Siberian band and Ummet Ozcan is a Turkish-Dutch DJ. The lyrics are about Turkic mythological characters. You should check other songs from both of them. They are amazing. Btw since "Ozcan" is a Turkish name, it is pronounced differently. In Turkish alphabet the letter "c" is pronounced as "j".
Oh-too-ken is the correct pronunciation of the band. I am new to Ummet's stuff so cant give you the correct pronunciation of his name. Altay is the name of the song. Yes, Azyan (lead singer of Otyken) is gorgeous, as are all the ladies, I feel a powerful need to go visit Siberia now. Read up on Otyken, the culture and back story is incredible. As there are two different landscapes on display in the vid I am assuming it was an online collaboration.

@@UNCLEMOMO There are more than a 160 Indigenous tribes that make up the people of Russia. To be honest I knew nothing about this until I found Otyken and learned about it by learning about them. It's interesting stuff and indicates to me how introverted our education system is but I guess that's due to limited numbers of teachers and limited funds and that they focus on what you need to be a good little slave in the society you live in. Thank the gods for the internet.

Russia is multiethnic and multireligious country with more than 200 ethnic groups (Russians, Belarus, Jews, Ukrainians, Tatars, Chechens, Alans, Chuvash, Yakut, Tuvans, Buryats, etc etc). Otyken is fantastic band....love them.
This is a little bit of a different issue, but the original Russians were the Muscovites from the Kievan-Rus, whose original capital was Kiev (Ukraine's Kyiv).

These are the people of Altai, this is a huge region in Russia. These are different peoples in the group. They sing in their own language. This includes Khakass. They have their own culture and their own language. They are similar to the native American population because they have the same DNA, even their religion is shamanism. Some of their songs are an appeal to the spirits of nature. They play their traditional instruments. There is a Wikipedia article about this group.We have many peoples living in Russia, many of them have their own language. They know both their own and Russian as their main language.

That's 💯 true about the Native American DNA. Many of the Native American tribes' ancestry is from eastern Siberia especially. And you'll notice they share many cultural elements between them.

Even tho Otyken group members are living in Russian Federation, and Ummet Ozcan is living in Netherland, they both are coming from the same ancestors and they are from the same ethnic root and sharing the same culture. It makes both Otyken and Ummet Ozcan brothers and sisters.
