I’ll throw a cause for optimism out there. Bret Bielema fell to 7-6 his third year and looked to be leading the program downhill but then rebounded with three straight 10-plus win seasons. Yes, I know, completely different situations. Just want to try and be positive in what looks like a grim outlook right now.
A lot of people thought BB was a bad coach and 9-3 teams were mediocre. The truth is he's definitely not a bad coach. A bad coach is a guy like LF who couldn't win at freaking Ohio State.
@ I get it but that Ohio State team was nowhere near as good as other years and was just coming off the fallout from that NCAA violation situation involving Terrelle Pryor and other players that ultimately led to Jim Tressel’s departure. Plus Fickell did a great job as OSU’s defensive coordinator under Urban Meyer and rebuilding Cincinnati as head coach. He earned his shot at Wisconsin. It’s certainly not looking good right now but I’m not ready to completely write him off just yet. Today’s college football landscape can produce stunning one-year turnarounds. Just look at Indiana. Like I said, things seem grim, but I still have some hope.
@@johngittings4673 Still nowhere near bad enough to not even have a winning record. At OSU LF had better talent than every other team in the conference. I hope he can turn it around. I've got serious doubts that he can hire the right assistants and his in game management has also been poor.
There's zero chance WI wins 8-9 games next year with that schedule. Right off the bat there's a minimum of 4 losses and that's winning every other game which we know won't happen. Winning 6 games will be an accomplishment.
