Many of you spotted the start of the new nano fish tank racking system at the end of the last video....it's time to get it DONE! So so SSSOOOOO please with how it has turned out and studio 2 is starting to contend with studio 1 now. Everything is coming along really well!!

Hi MD, planted shrimp tanks look awsome👏. Keeping sponge filters in shrimp tanks is recomended, because young ones dine on it. I woud also advise to replace/remove weight from the filters feet, its usually made from iron and it happens to be not comepleatly sealed in plastic case. Other thing is that cascade filters(kind of hob) are less efective (less volume), so i would avoid those.

I’m really loving how often you’re posting. There’s so much going on with the new studios and fish. It makes me so excited for my tall shrimp vase but I have to wait for the water to settle and check before I can add the rainbow shrimp :(

It is really impressive how often you upload new content and how much effort you put in every single video! I already get annoyed when one plant in my tank floats to the top and I have to get my hands wet to replant it and you just casually shift 12 fully planted tanks so the new rack doesnt block any view. Admirable!

@MD the trick with the food is to get bigger shrimp food so they can't take it out of the dish and will stick all together eating at the same time like a swarm

I saw this vid on my recomended while looking for a rack for my leopard geckos that has a 24 inch depth. I looked in this vids description and saw a link for a rack and instantly clicked. I thank you for this. This will help me to organize my geckos better!
Good video. If I could make a suggestion... Please consider putting a net or cover over the drain of the sink if you're going to unbag fish like that into the net. If a fish jumps out while you're doing that they'll go right down the drain. I just had a fish jump as I was pouring into the net and luckily it was on my table so I could easily get it. I'd hate for one of your fish to go down the sink drain.

Definitely the right decision to move the rack’s! Some hanging plants in the corner would look good, like scindapsus Pictuas or pothos or philodendron Brazil or philodendron Micans. I know fish are your thing but all plants make everything look better. I don’t know what the light is like in that room, but the ficus benjamina you have next to your rocks might need more light 💡 but will love all that humidity from the fish tanks. 🌿🌿🌿🌿👍💚

We (the majority of viewers) love watching you because you are fun and down to earth and bring content that we connect with!
If you’re planning on doing a sorority the cubes are too small for females to establish territory and too small to the adequate number of females for them to establish a hierarchy and disperse the aggression. The large cube in the corner would be more appropriate

I'm a big fan of under gravel filters, but absolutely love your tanks! They look fantastic and especially love the "neat" and tidy look of the whole place. So many others have a fish room (basement or garage) that look scattered and unorganized, which takes away from the peaceful nature of keeping tanks and fish and shrimp (in your case). Keep posting and I'll keep watching.

I’m just getting into whatever you would call this hobby and I find it so interesting how much I don’t know. I’ve been binge watching so many of these videos learning about tanks, plants, fish etc and I can’t wait to start. Looking forward to one day being as knowledgeable as yourself.
It's good that you're sorting it all out in the beginning, as a designer in an antique store, I know that making and viewing a video helps with the esthetics in the arrangement, you can see in each vignette where it needs to be tweeked...it helps the eye see it in perspective...awesome job...!

While bettas sororities can work(I’ve seen maybe one in ten actually work), I don’t recommend trying it as it can be very stressful for the fish and the keeper.
I couldn't resist after your videos and bought blue shrimps and almond leaves this morning. Will try a shrimp tank. I have an aquarium full of najas plant, i hope they'll like it.

Looking great! I recommend keeping a card handy for each tank with the plant list for each one! So many new plants, and you know we are going to ask. All the time. And you are going to want to know which ones are doing well....I do it for my garden (or at least keep all labels in an envelope)
Would you consider letting your boys design their own tank(s)? Let them pick out the stones, plants, decorations and everything? I reckon it would be great for them to learn firsthand the difference between fake and real plants. You could do 2 nano tanks side by side, no fish, just to show them the pro's and con's of each. It would be awesome for other kids watching to see as well.

Wheels! I love them under my aquarium stands (shelving, cabinets, etc...). Then you can easily move the aqquarium(s) for maintenance or if you want to move the whole thing somewhere else without the huge work of draining or unhooking equipment. And let's face it, some of us are always having new great ideas 😜
Putting them on wheels can take away a lot of the load/weight bearing capacity though. I just ordered a new metal shelf for tanks. With wheels it has a 250lb per shelf capacity. Without wheels it has a 1000lb per shelf weight capacity. So you have to be super careful when using wheels for aquarium stands/racks.

MD, now you need another tall plant to go in the corner between the shrimp tank's shelf and your new shelf. A nice tall green plant would look great in that corner between those shelves.

I really want to make something similar with a bunch of small cube tanks. But I want to make each a different theme, for example a desert, a mountainous look, a swampy look, etc. All either containing 2 medium size fish or a bunch of tiny guys.
Well done Dude! Shrimp tanks are awesome, I need that tiny plate too to prevent my substrate soil gets dirty, last time I fought with Hydra in my shrimp tank and it was not easy!

What material is MD using for the black backing on the tanks? Is it a black laminate? He's not painting them, is he? Every time I think I am going to try a large tank, MD's videos pull me back to the nanos... They are just so beautiful
May I suggest to put an air plants, such as tilandsias, dwarf ferns, mini ivy attached in woods to filli up the side spaces of your racks. 👌

I looked up the rack on Amazon and the shelves are apparently particle board. Will that black paint help to seal that from water? I'm worried they may getting water damaged easily?

They all look the same man... you should get into marine hobby..its completely another level in everything choices of livestocks, fish, corals and prices etc I sold all my fresh water tanks and now in keeping only a reef tank with anemones and lps corals. Love it.

When I kept planted tanks I used a red/pink T5 bulb in my fixture, and having a red/pink bulb over rotala rotundifolia makes it grow insanely red.
Hi. What if you get rid of sponge filters, or will use in your new cube akvariums, just one external filter big enought to manage all of them? Divide outlet to six smaller outlets and put them into akvariums. Never saw samothing like this, but should work hm?

Nano tank racking system looking great 👍 I'm trying to mimic it to keep Betta males and females. All Pond Solutions are out of cube tanks at the moment though!! Wonder why!! 😂🤣

Love how the rack is looking. What type of paint did you use on the particle board? Also, what did you use to fill in all the holes of the metal shelf rods? Normally they would be able to be seen through but yours have something behind the holes that is black. The end result makes the shelves look really nice. I have similar shelves in my garage but I didn't want that type of look in my house. The little edits you made give them a much nicer look.
Also, are you concerned at all using rimless tanks(I know these are smaller) without putting leveling foam under them?
