Beach Fishing - A Windy Day's Fishing Up The Dirty Wall (Suffolks Chesil Beach)

Welcome back to another UK shore fishing vlog on Addicted2angling, in this surfcasting vlog I take the long walk from aldeburgh on the Suffolk coast and walk up the long shingle bank known as the dirty wall. This huge shingle bank is affectionately known as Suffolks Chesil Beach due to the likeness it has to Dorsets famous fishing venue.
The dirty wall holds much deeper water than most of Suffolks beaches which is why it can be such a great shore fishing venue at times with species such as rays, smooth hounds, bass and even spurdogs being caught from here. However in years gone by this venue was renowned as being one of the top UK cod fishing venues, unfortunately with the decline to UK cod stocks, cod fishing has not been as good recently as it once was.
With cod being caught from beaches nearby I headed up Suffolks Chesil Beach with a slight hunch to go beach fishing for cod, unfortunately the weather and other factors had other ideas and suffice to say this was not one of my best fishing ideas!!

I used to walk to the masts in the 80s that was when the cod were about in numbers the good old days .

Great video mate shame about all the rubbish in the sea but lest your out trying and giving anglers how the fishing can be like but a Whiting save a blank 😀 🎣👍

Caught some serious cod there. That dreaded walk up to the aerials. I eventually became a member of the ONAC so could drive it but the cod had gone by then. Great video

I was a member of onac mate and had done lovely bass and codling up there, summer seems to be best up there now with the hounds and rays. Cheers for watching mate
