It stands for carbon copy and blind carbon copy. Let me give you an example. Say a light bulb went out in my shop and I needed to report that then I would send an email to the electrician and carbon copy in my manager. It means that the electrician can see who else I’ve copied into my email. If I select bcc then my manager can still get copied into the email but the electrician wouldn’t be able to see that.
