Ah, it's that time of year again. When we get to sit back and reminisce about everything that happened this summer. The memories we made, the people we talked to, the warm evenings we spent basking in the sun. I'll miss it, but as always, it'll return next year. The warm summer breeze and the sweet air will return. You just wait.
I’m not gonna say I had a fun summer or anything. Just mostly worked my ass off at a hotel and smoked weed whenever I had the free time. I recently graduated High school and it feels like I didn’t really complete much in my life. I didn’t really have the necessary gpa and or anything outstanding about me that universities would’ve loved, I was just simple. I am going to community college for a couple years and probably gonna move on out to Chicago. South Dakota just ain’t no ray of sunshine for me anymore. I’m still stuck in between actually wanting to transfer. I was a California student, but I couldn’t afford to rent an apartment and pay for community college at the same time, so I dropped everything. Now, I sit at home, with this one question on my mind. “Should I have left everything behind in search for a better life?”. I don’t really know man.
Have no regrets, they'll only hold you back. You did what you had to do. Lift your head up and look to the future instead of the past. There lie answers, options and happiness, my man. Just relax, smoke one, and remember: it's all good.
