This is a pretty amazing advancement for the hobby. You could use them on just about any diecast manufacturer's product. I'm not above putting redlines on a Matchbox, Johnny Lightning (wheels were always their weakest feature. Always exaggerated scale), etc. This is brilliant. Wish I'd thought of it. No more worries about pulling the bearing off the axle. Just crimp the end, and install this genius-ness.
Yes, if you damage the crimp you will have to put it back but other wise no need to touch it... These things are pure genius. Now we need BV to make the same for super fast and JL, and the wheels too!
Hey Paul. Love your videos. I too have bought and used the brightvision hot swap bearings and love them. I've had some issues cutting off old wheels where I bend the axles. A solution I found that works well is to use a soldering iron and press it to the axle cap to heat it up. When it's hot enough you just pull the wheels off letting the hot axle melt thru the wheel. Careful not to burn yourself obviously, but it works great and gets those old wheels off without bending the axle.

As long as it can roll smooth its good. I think a diecast car should have rolling wheels since it was ment to roll and not to be a static model, but it is not to be raced by a kid anymore after all that work to restore it so its okay that it can't roll clear across the room any longer. But perhaps scraping off the crud on the axle and a tiny bit of oil will loosen it up.🙂
We'd love to source some bulk lots of blackwall axle sets. We have a 'Master Caster' outfit with a few unused wax molds but only the axle sets it came with.
The next thing Bright Vision makes would be the original bent axles that came on the first Hot Wheels. You know....the ones that broke way too easy. That and these paired together...

They really don't roll well, but if the choice is between a looser hub and a wobbly wheel or a lame roller, I'll choose the latter...
