  • Hello Everyone! I hope someone finds this helpful. I came up with this hack in complete distress lol. It took me 24 hours to braid a clients hair and once I got done the nail glue on the ends of the braids were such an eye sore. I was literally crying because I wasn’t sure if the mistake I made could be fixed. I went over and over in my head thinking what I could use to fix my mistake and I came up with this hack, I was determined to fix it! I hope this helps someone.💙

    The kiss nail glue does pretty well. You can buy them individually at your local beauty supply. I’ve used it on the ends of my wavy tree braids. It did not leave too much of a white cast.

      The little kiss bottles is what left the white residue for me….. unfortunately 🥺

    I use the individual bottles from the BS store. Kiss is definitely the best brand but STAY AWAY from the PINK TOP kiss nail glue. That’s the white residue culprit

    what about just using black nail polish to secure the ends in the first place? dyk what i mean? i have black gel polish and a uv lamp so that seems like it could be tedious but perhaps it wld secure it well.

    Can you use quick weave glue? I never tried it but maybe it will work or eyelash glue. Im just trying to think of dark tone glues. Lmk if any of these work cause i need all the help thats why i usually tie it

      I haven’t tried it but I would not recommend either, both of them will leave a sticky gummy residue. If tying works best for you then I recommend that method.

    What do you think k about the spray hair dye?

    • @carynprince
      @carynprince  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I haven’t try it but in my mind I’m not sure if it will hold well on the actual nail glue itself… I think that option is better suited for actual hair. Nail glue when dried creates a harder surface and I found that the nail polish attached and stayed.
      …..but I haven’t tried it, however it’s definerly worth the try💙

      I tried the spray and turned them kind of gray and made it more obvious. I ended up using twist hair and wrapping it around the ends that looked crazy. I tried the black eyelash glue too and ended up with hella lint in my braids. Would probably work better if you put a bonnet on immediately after or something.

    You know what... I am doing some ywigs bora bora braids soon and what I think I will do is use the tiniest bit of spring twist hair at the end as my "adhesive". I have really long hair so im going to do 100% human hair bora bora type braids, but then at the end just use the tiniest bit of spring twist hair and then set it with hot water. I might braid it down an inch and then tie a knot with that bc we know when we use that hair for locs, it doesn't go anywhere!

      Get out of my head lol I have a similar idea but for a different style. Just me mindful of the texture if it’s straight or body wave you’re going to have to add the hair in super early so it doesn’t shed out the bottom even with the spring twist hair. Also I don’t recommend you dip your natural hair in hot water to “seal” the ends. Once that plastic meets that hot water on your hair it will melt into your natural strands and eat them up. I always advise against dipping anywhere near your natural hair. But if you’re braiding way past your natural hair then dipping it may be fine buuuuutttttttt………… lol I’m not a fan of dipping human hair in hot water as I feel imo it ages the hair fast and damages the cuticle layer of the hair, but please do what works best for you.💙💙💙
