A scale can ascend/ descend in the same clef. Some instruments use treble clef (higher notes); some use bass clef (lower notes). There are other clefs too. The clef helps to determine the pitch - higher or lower.

Every major scale follows a pattern:- Tone tone semitone tone tone tone semitone If you raise the 7th note of a # scale and add it to previous sharps it delivers the required pattern.
I just wanted to correct your E flat major statement. After you were done going through it, you stated there was 3 flats in E flat major, but there's actually 4 flats, both the bottom and the top E flat, and then the A flat, and B flat. :)
And on the B flat major you said 2 flats but there's 3. The top and bottom B flats, and the E flat. Or do the top and bottom ones count as one put together? Correct me if I'm wrong please? And thank you very much for your knowledge. :)

It’s really a matter of getting used to the distinctive sound of each scale. If you understand the theory of construction that’s really helpful. Then play them/ listen to them. It’s all explained in our Theory packages at www.mmcourses.co.uk
You only went over it for a second - but one critical thing I picked up on is why you would choose between C♯ and D♭. While they are the same thing, your approach just made sense to me - "you are needing to change the C, so you wouldn't say D♭, you would say C♯." Love it. The problem with using the term 'tone' (or semitone) to explain an interval is that a tone is fully defined by just a single note, i.e.a tone is a pitch. An interval requires two notes (two tones) to define it so better to use the term 'step' (whole step and half step) when talking about intervals - a whole step or a half step. Use single letters W and H ( or h) it's clearer than using T and ST, A sequence like T T ST T looks like there are 5 notes rather than the intended 4. Hearing him say "F# to G is a semitone rather than a tone" just grates with me. Don't use 'tone' or semitone' to explain the concept of a trajectory from one tone to another tone (one note to another note). Use 'step' to convey that concept of trajectory.
This is really a confusion between US and UK terminology, both of which work in different parts of the world. In the U.K. system tone is not a defined pitch but describes the distance between two notes ie a semitone is the shortest possible distance between two neighbouring notes on a keyboard, so a tone is two semitones.

There are 3 flats - Bb, Eb, Ab and they repeat in each octave.
Bb major has two flats, Bb and Eb, which repeat in each octave.
In America, we talk about whole steps and half steps, so the pattern for major scales is whole, whole, half, whole, whole, whole, half, or WWHWWWH.

Why was B flat written on a bass clef stave and the E flat on a treble clef stave? If it's for variety, then your variety has left me confused.
Simply to demonstrate the scales in both clefs. Some instrumentalists/ singers only read in the treble clef while others only read in the bass clef.

Why do you say Ab instead of G# ? etc In the 1st example "A" you called them #'s going up.

Yes, technically there is an A# major scale but most composers would use Bb major scale. A# major is:-
A# B# Cx D# E# Fx Gx A#
