Horst cut my hair years ago in Minneapolis and made me cry. He was an ego maniac who had a hissy fit because he said "You must have bangs!" when in consult weeks before I told him I absolutely did NOT want bangs. He cut bangs which I stuck back with a bobby pin for months and charged me $200. I am 72 now and a JVN haircut is on my bucket list.

The quality of your products is so outstanding!!! I transitioned to clean beauty products more than 10 years ago and it was easy except for the hair products. I have tried a lot and let me tell you this stuff isn’t cheap. I wanted that the products work but I end up with extremely dry hair almost impossible to manage. I was reluctant to try your line because I didn’t want to end up not using the products because they don’t work despite the good ingredients. I’m very pleasantly surprised to have found out that your products work and have decent ingredients and sustainable packaging! I also am happy that I have found a retailer in Europe that sells your products! 🥰
So I just got my JVN products and without even realizing that being eco friendly / "no plastic!!!" was a thing, I was SO impressed with the packaging -- both the mailer AND the product containers themselves. I was really struck by it -- so to learn it was 100% intentional is so rad!

Thank you for talking about all that goes into designing a beauty-care line with integrity that goes all the way to packaging. Avoiding plastic is a huge hurdle, kudos to you. My fave beauty-care company is Terressentials (their hair wash, which has the consistency of mud, is great for eliminating build up from silicone and other plastic-y residues), and all their bottles are plastic. For skin care, I love Red Flower, which tries to eliminate waste by selling gigantic gallon-sized containers of their products. Creating sustainability-conscious packaging, while still remaining affordable/shippable, must be very complicated. Trying to do that for myself in DIY skin-and-hair-care solutions, making my own toothpaste out of coconut oil and baking soda or skin moisturizers from avocado oil and aloe vera that I buy at the grocery store is a project. I haven't tried JVN hair yet, but I hope to soon if I can afford it. Maybe treat myself for my birthday, May 12!

I just bought your Complete Instant Recovery serum travel size to try from Space NK and on my very fine hair that lacks body it has been very helpful. I so wish I could get travel samples of shampoo, conditioner etc here in the UK as I can't afford to buy the large sizes in one go and it'd be so good to try the whole range and then edit it down to what would suit my fine, thin longer hair. Just used my first JVN products! Love that the formula doesnt burn my eyes when washing hair and the blowout video tip with the brushing hair to straight is a time saver! I used the air dry cream on each layer. I have combo hair wavy & straight and always used a flat iron...now I dont have to. It was def a 💡moment. Felt like I went to JVN school of hair lol

Jonathan you are more than just a pretty pretty face, your products are *amazing*. So many celebrity lines are just shit rushed out to wring cash out of fans while that celebrity is hot. But your integrity shines through, it comes right through the screen, so I took a chance on your products and am simply blown away by the difference in my hair. I’m about 60% gray and those silvers are sometimes bratty and don’t want to behave, but the instant recovery serum gives them just what they need. I wanna talk about 11:12 "why you talk about JVN hair so often." I LOVE the music group BTS. I think they're amazing, I've seen them in concert, I listen to their music all day. My love and excitement about them means I naturally talk about them a lot! All my coworkers and friends know about BTS because I keep talking about them! I have nothing to gain from mentioning them, but when you love something and are passionate about it, it becomes a natural and constant part of your life. The quality of your products is so outstanding!!! I transitioned to clean beauty products more than 10 years ago and it was easy except for the hair products. I have tried a lot and let me tell you this stuff isn’t cheap. I wanted that the products work but I end up with extremely dry hair almost impossible to manage. I was reluctant to try your line because I didn’t want to end up not using the products because they don’t work despite the good ingredients. I’m very pleasantly surprised to have found out that your products work and have decent ingredients and sustainable packaging! I also am happy that I have found a retailer in Europe that sells your products! 🥰
So I just got my JVN products and without even realizing that being eco friendly / "no plastic!!!" was a thing, I was SO impressed with the packaging -- both the mailer AND the product containers themselves.
I was really struck by it -- so to learn it was 100% intentional is so rad!

Thank you for talking about all that goes into designing a beauty-care line with integrity that goes all the way to packaging. Avoiding plastic is a huge hurdle, kudos to you. My fave beauty-care company is Terressentials (their hair wash, which has the consistency of mud, is great for eliminating build up from silicone and other plastic-y residues), and all their bottles are plastic. For skin care, I love Red Flower, which tries to eliminate waste by selling gigantic gallon-sized containers of their products. Creating sustainability-conscious packaging, while still remaining affordable/shippable, must be very complicated. Trying to do that for myself in DIY skin-and-hair-care solutions, making my own toothpaste out of coconut oil and baking soda or skin moisturizers from avocado oil and aloe vera that I buy at the grocery store is a project. I haven't tried JVN hair yet, but I hope to soon if I can afford it. Maybe treat myself for my birthday, May 12!

I just bought your Complete Instant Recovery serum travel size to try from Space NK and on my very fine hair that lacks body it has been very helpful. I so wish I could get travel samples of shampoo, conditioner etc here in the UK as I can't afford to buy the large sizes in one go and it'd be so good to try the whole range and then edit it down to what would suit my fine, thin longer hair. Just used my first JVN products! Love that the formula doesnt burn my eyes when washing hair and the blowout video tip with the brushing hair to straight is a time saver! I wanna talk about 11:12 "why you talk about JVN hair so often." I LOVE the music group BTS. I think they're amazing, I've seen them in concert, I listen to their music all day.
