Anyone who doesn't give Aaron credit for his incredible drumming after listening to this song, is out of their minds. Dude was, is, and always will be one of the most creative and influential drummers in this genre. Absolute madman.
thank you. ive preached this for years. he might not do the 'fastest' stuff, but he uses one kick and makes heavy beats then any blast beat breakdown, and he makes it so interesting with his weird timing and off notes. its actually shocking how much modern trap music sounds like aaron gillespie drumming
@@d_ruggs to do that and then not even drum for The Almost says a lot. He's insane. But let's not sleep on Spencer. Him actually playing guitar, his first instrument for us for the first time.. he loves this song. Plus Spencer is from Greensboro, NC and I grew up in Thomasville, NC literally not even a hour away. Used to shop for school clothes at 4 seasons before I even knew UO. Spencer is the living embodiment of "anyone can make it"
@@joelclarkemusic1 if you look at the latest bmth album, his vocals are so much better. Watch the video of his performance at the 02 recently. Best vocals he’s done in his whole career. Look at his performances in 2013 and look at 2021. Most improved vocalist in metalcore.
@@thebigbear1160before they broke up, Keith Buckley from Every Time I Die was another one who just got consistently better with each album and touring cycle.
This album was one of the best produced and most creative of ANY genre and any time line in history. The depression that you feel in the music is what makes it have such an impact for me.The tones of the drums are like nothing I've heard in a modern drum track, the traditional dead sounding round bearing edge drum tone is simply amazing.
6 people have no clue how good a song this is. Who could possibly dislike this. This is still one of my favorite songs. Favorite memory is doing the meet and greet with them in a show in Longview, Texas back in the day. It was in a church gym. No stage floor set only. Concert was behind and they sat with us at tables watching the other bands warm up for almost an hour, then played most of this song to the meet and greet crew right before the concert started. Was epic. Then they finished their concert with Writing on the Walls, let the crowd come into the set. Spencer finished the song standing on top of one of the kick drums. Never Forget That!
I needed to come back to this video after recently getting power back from Hurricane Milton. Thankfully, our house is still standing, but many other areas have been devastated from Milton as well as the tornadoes that came with it. This song definitely hits differently after all if this...
Orgasmic to the ears the timing when the go in on one instrument was catchy AF ! I was 13 when there only chasing safety album came out to walking me through a Norco to oxy to heroin addiction what they sing & express themselves I'm all about it OATH forever & after 💯🙏🏻
Idgaf what the fuck anybody says....screamo is not dead not with thiccccccccccc vocals like this 😤...it's fucking brutal he just brought a whole genre back for me from my teenage angst years I'm a dad with 3 kids wtf bro!
They played those two albums back to front live at the same venue around the same time as this album, so I think they will release them in the coming future after the mixing/mastering is done!

@@Nomad fun fact, In Regard To Myself, Underoath arguably most popular guitar riff, was written by Spencer.
Spencer’s vocals sound better than ever🤘🏻
Metalcore/post hardcore vocalists always seem to get better over time. Just look at oli Sykes. Chris motionless too.
@@thebigbear1160 not sure if I agree about Oli Sykes lol but definitely Chris Motionless

Best comment of the year for me
My god the bass tone that kicks in at 2:20 is the thicccccest tone i've ever heard. I felt it deep in my spine.
the bassist has the same tone the entire song
came here to say that 😍
This song played live could replace a busted defibrillator
You’re not wrong
Well said

Love seeing spencer playing the guitar
My favorite Underoath song never sounded better
Fav too man so heavy
I'm loving the Observatory version more than the album version because how better you guys have gotten. This performance is just sick.
Now this is why I started learning how to play the drums when I was 14 haha. Aaron is the best. SO nostalgic now..
listened to the whole thing on Spotify and man, does it go hard or what
right? what a live album this band just slaps.
It absolutely does.
@@randyhalfway I have changed to thinking that lost in the sound of separation is there best (my favorite) it's got such a feel to it
@@xXxPAYCHECKOxXx entire album is a masterpiece. Never listen to an album where every song is like a piece to a bigger puzzle. Genius
They have a bunch of good/great songs but the day i bought the record in 08 and heard this song it has remained my favorite track from these guys
I'm 30 years old and I keep telling my friend that at 30 this is the best Underoath album

Makes me sad that this band is not nearly as big as it used to be. They will always be my favorite tho!
one of my favorite bands right here!!
I want them to keep going so my kids' children's offspring experience this live as well

This whole album proformance was amazing. Start to finish
Aaron was so ahead of the curve with his drum style. so often when i hear modern trap i hear beats that sound so much like things aaron plays
Idgaf what the fuck anybody says....screamo is not dead not with thiccccccccccc vocals like this 😤...it's fucking brutal he just brought a whole genre back for me from my teenage angst years I'm a dad with 3 kids wtf bro!

That's the Spencer Chamberlain we all know and love! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
"Nothing will be left to walk the Earth again!"... doesn't sound the same in a normal voice..
I love how throughout these recordings Spencer's voice gets higher and Aaron's gets lower, at times. It's so interesting
