Came into the league 10+ years too soon. Maybe they could’ve managed his attitude better these days, but for sure his skill set would be maximized in 2023. Guy had unlimited talent. Just didn’t make good on it. I remember watching him on the Nets those years and being blown away every couple games by a pull up jumper or crossover and wondering why can’t he do this every night. Can’t even find highlights these days showing what he could do at 6’11” before it was cool. Dude was a guard w true C size 10 years before all the “unicorns” came around.

Been watching blatche even before he joined GILAS, he was a very good player. Not a star type of player but he can definitely contribute or make an impact on the game right away. When I heard the news of him being our naturalized player, I was so happy, I actually cant believe that a player like him would want to join our Filipino team.. But now he is out of shape, getting old too. He is not the same anymore and I think the 2019 FIBA is his last. We need a new naturalized play, hoping we can get the same quality like blatche. Thank you for your service Andray Blatche!!

I think Blatch would even play better in today's NBA. Last time he played in the NBA was 2014(?). NBA defense is a lot softer and the floor is a lot more open now. Even the big guys now play in the perimeter more than in the paint. Exactly the way Blatch plays.

@@kingdrieplays No, not really. It's just that the change in the rules in the current NBA is perfect for Blatche's playing style. There's hardly any physicality on defense in the NBA now. No handchecking. Can't put your arm on the back or side of the offensive player. Defenders are no longer allowed to dig there knees on the legs of the offensive players. Players can't bump or nudge opponents on defense anymore. Any strong foul (not a "hard foul") or strong bump or nudge nowadays is called a "flagrant foul". All these restrictions are favorable to the playing style of Blatche.

Andrey Blatche should try out for Golden State Warriors next year. If he stays on shape and commits, there will be a huge chance that GSW can pick him up for at least one year minimum deal contract. Boogie is leaving GSW next season because they will not be able to afford him.
GSW needs big man of his caliber. If he will not be succesful he can always return to playing overseas
They already signed Andrew Bogut. As I pointed out, they need big NBA caliber player to toughen up it center defense position. Andray Blatche was a good NBA player before but he have problem controlling his weight that is why no one re signs him.
Nba teams can't sign Blatche not because he is under the Nationa Team, but he has a unfinished contract on CBA Chinese Basketball Association. Where CBA offers him higher than NBA .

Blatche is a great player, one thing I don't like about him is that he thinks he's a guard. He shoots threes too much, shoots mid too much at dribbles too much. He should stay down low
