  • In this video we'll learn the calculation of moments in column using substitute frame method.
    Generally during design of beam we directly use Axial load and moments in both direction, at that time students we have a question in mind that how we can calculate this moments.
    So, that concept we will learn in this video.
    Step by step procedure is explained in this video using wonderful features of PDF Expert.
    You can prepare PDF for the any method step by step and can edit as per different example, this way one can easily remember procedure steps.

    My question is that calcualting moment in columns is when there is fixed conection between columns and beams right?because in general rcc building we consider conectivity hinged.

    Mam u did this for 2d frame but column has bi axial moments, so do it for 3d frame act moments from longitudinal side of beam in x direction and lateral side of beam in z direction

    (Refer :- Time line frame 33:02 . ) Can we use those final moment 101.55 Kn-M and -45.26Kn-M for beam section designing as a hogging moment which are remained at both side of middle column denoted by "B" ? . Will they be matched to Moment Distribution Method for beam designing?

    The Fixed end moment for CB is not 33.7kNm but 30.89kNm because now it's a which is squared and not b, so the value is different. Please correct that

    I request you that at least please be response if any of your audience ask against any query after watching videos.. yesterday I saw one of the video from your playlist in which you were presenting about the loads transfer from slab - beam - column. And my query was regarding the yield line theory after watching your that video. And left a comment upon it.Again requesting you please do check that comment left by me over that video and response me back in respect to my raised query

    Moments at the top of top floor columns are more as compared to bottom floor... Then how A1 and A2 will have equal moment value??..
    Please tell how to calculate individual floor column moments..

    • @sudarshannikam5243
      @sudarshannikam5243 ปีที่แล้ว

      This may be due to typical floor concern with same load and span. I think moment of joint doesn't matter with nos of floors . Gravity load depends on the nos of floor , not the moment. Fixed end moment of beam is calculated at same plane of that particular floor which is transferred to column locally at that particular floor .Hence A1 & A2 have equal moment value .
