    Question:
    #1, Answer C also, simple past.
    #2: Answer A also, simple past.
    #3: Answer B also, simple past.
    #4: Answer B also, simple past.
    I believe I'll stop here. It appears many sentences have been phrased in a manner that allows for more than one correct verb-tense answer.

      These questions are designed to check how much knowledge one person has.

      ​@@EnglishwithAliRazaThank you for your thoughtful reply. It's always important to be aware of the test designer's intent. My only concern (or perhaps over-concern) was that the student might possibly conclude that the most suitable or most commonly understood answer should be regarded as the only correct choice -- any others should be regarded as incorrect. We probably do hear the expression
      "I drink coffee in the morning" more often than "I drank coffee in the morning." My only intended point was that regardless of the frequency of usage, both remain grammatically correct.
      English can be a confusing language, even for native speakers, and I
      applaud the efforts of you and others in undertaking this challenge.
