Pardon me for not describing the taste and texture of this delicious meal, I was in the zone., it tasted like rotten fish and the texture was the same, there's nothing to compare it to.

Hey Tom, great video....... I am originally from Egypt, and believe me I miss this meal... the taste is great and the strong smell one should use to.... and let me correct something for your information that ancient Egyptians when the Nile was flooding they collected the fish and because they had no way to keep it for longer time but to use salt and keep it stored in clay jars it to became fermented not rotten. By the way, I ate something similar to the Feseekh in Sweeden. I think that was the way ancient people in all over the world could keep the food as long as possible.

Fesikh is a seven-thousand-year-old pharaonic food that is eaten on the Spring Festival only as a rite of ancient rituals. Not all Egyptians eat fesikh. They prefer to eat smoked herring and salted sardines. Fesikh is made of fish. mullet
