Pro tip: if you calm the horse a good six times while you have it lassoed, once you jump on, it takes almost no time to break at all.
I think breaking horses is pretty easy anyways.. have never failed once

Just learned that while sprinting to the back of your horse run to the side (so you won't hop to the back of it) double tap mount, your horse will run simultaneously to the direction your running while you're mounting.

One time on my playthrough I wanted a blanket Appaloosa and gave up about 1hr of trying to find it, yesterday I found a herd of 4 DIFFERENT BLANKET APPALOOSAS IN BACKBONE FOREST
Red Chestnut Arabian is definately the prettiest Arabian in the game

Ok, yes that's true, I agree, I really like it too, really nice, I often feed the best, golden paste and tonic, right now I'm using it, the superior Arabic red but I also fell in love with the Andalusian, a reddish bay, he is taller and more robust and is satisfying to ride, he is now my temporary horse.
I've been playing with RDM for 3 years because I spend my time wandering around and doing lots of tests and curiosities, it never bores me.

had the perlino andalusian for my whole first playthrough, got her really early into chapter 2. i named her Marjorie
When I caught the Andalusian up north by the waterfall a moose appeared just behind it looking on at me. When I mounted the horse, it managed to kick the moose down into the river. 😂 I still managed to make some nice gloves out of it though.

I took the blue roan Nokota from the treasure hunter in chapter 2. I got the high stakes treasure map and noticed his horse was blue in the sun. Now i ride like a boss.

@@alterego4050 if you havent started the high stakes treasure map, you shpuld see him east of valentine on the river bed, looking thru a telescope. Just hogtie, loot, then take his horse.

You know what sucks tho, you can’t keep all the horses. My only issue with this game is it only gives you so many stalls for them
Well in rdr 1 u just had one xD was so difficult to decide which one( yeah I could always have them if u bought them but it was not the same )

I’ve recently gotten both the Flaxseed Chestnut Hungarian Halfbred and the Few Spotted Appaloosa in Big Valley near Hanging Dog Ranch and the Trapper.
The Roanoke Andalusian is a fantastic horse. Every playthrough I do, I go get it as soon as I finish the Hosea mission.

@@MattiK2609 it is and a little to small. I like the pink horse but it gets spooked easy too and it’s gender is random. I find sometimes the horses have either two personalities .. they can be really good then next new game the same horse isn’t acting as good as the last game. Lol
I have the white Arabian horse and almost cried by eyes out as my horse Pearl died. I luckily found another one and have been happier than ever every since
Common fidgety small horse.
U can find Nokota both white and blue but not always and its around the beach side close to Blackwater but at the safe zone side.. its very close to where O'Driscoll kept Arthur trapped and Not sure how some of them are rare since I always see them in wild everywhere I go.. The Morgan and Hungarian half bred both commonly seen. Still ur video is helpful to many players. Thank you.

How come the Piebald Tobiano Hungarian Halfbred isn't on top of this list? That coat is so extremely hard to find, it's almost a crime for it to be that rare

@@shusilbanjade Well, from my experience, the best way to get one is if you start a long shootout with the law in either Valentine or Tumbleweed. Once your bounty reaches around 1k, the lawmen will ride into town on Piebald Tobianos. But those are only stallions, as far as I've noticed, so if you're looking for a mare, you'd have to be super lucky to find one at a stranger's camp
@@shusilbanjade you can find it as arthur at a camp in the heartlands, its a difficult spawn though, keep going to the camp, look and see and if not there ride away and it will spawn eventually.
@@shusilbanjade I found a female one at an NPC bounty hunter camp on the road between Horseshoe Overlook heading east towards Emerald Ranch. There's a landmark called "register rock" and as you pass it with it on your left and keep following the trail, a large rocky outcropping comes up on the left. The bounty hunter camp is in the clearing underneath it. You can get a good view of it to see if the horse is there without alerting the NPCs as they will aggro if you get too close. It took me a while but it works.

i found the blue roan nokota out by the beach of flat iron lake under the bridge between riggs station and flatneck station, just went a little more towards blackwater and found it.

I found the Wild Bay Mustang south of Emeralds Station and west of Aberdeens Pig Farm if anyone else wants to find it in another location.

The red chestnut Arabian, in my opinion, has to be the most beautiful out of the Arabians. Second to the brindle. I named mine Wildfire. Abd my brindle one Cobweb.

@aeronimbus I was playing this morning, and my red chestnut ran past 2 packs of wolves without bucking me off at only lvl 2 bonding, and I didn't really have to fight it for control either

The reason I stopped using the overo american paint is there is a visual glitich with its mane that breaks the immersion
No shot the few spotted Appaloosa is the rarest horse. I got it first try in like 10 minutes
You can also steal the Overo American Paint from lawmen/bounty hunters, i did it yesterday without knowing this horse was in game.
I found the flaxen chestnut near valentine and the black American standerbred by Anne’s burg I also got the white Arabian so I sold by blue roan nokota and fleed by white roan one lmao

Piebald Tobliano Hungarian Halfbred is my favourite. Arabian horses are too small. Looks weird with someone riding them.
Only breed of horses you need in this game are the MFT, Turkomans and Arabians... Although the Arabians will get you killed if you encounter predators.
Turkomans, the best. Heartiest and bravest horse of the three.
Thoroughbred is best for me
Hungarian Halfbreds, Turkomans, Shires, and Mustangs are the bravest horses ever

I am also a PC player. I have been having issue to tame wild horse, could you please give me some advice?
I have tried to follow the in game instruction (hold S+A/D depending on the direction that the horse is jumping around but I still get bucked off eventually @.@)
I'm a PC player too. My easiest way to tame the horse,you just spam A,D and G on the keyboard,do not press W or S. Just spam A and D with your left hand fingers then use your right hand fingers to press the G to calm the horse,it works everytime,i never ever got bucked with this method.
Your mistake is “hold”. Just use the stick to counter the opposote direction. If it goes left, you go right. Same for foward and back. Don’t stay on any one side of the saddle for too long. Always try to be middle.
The thing that helps me after mounting is just keeping the camera centered behind the horse and tapping A or D only if the horse moves sideways to counter the direction it goes.

Imo the piebald tobiano Hungarian halfbreed is the hardest one to find. The wild horses aren’t hard to find but my gosh, the piebald Hungarian halfbreed is a beautiful war horse and I can’t find her! I find the few spotted more than the piebald

Use " Andalusian" till chapter 3
Then get "Turkoman " till you die
And get the " Buell " from the veteran mission in the epilogue ( save the last mission for john ) ..

I'm hoping you can help, I did the chaper 2 quest with hosea ,can you please tell me if youre using the story mode or online play because i caught the American paint overo many times but I csnt make the horse officially mine, I tame it and I'm able to ride it but I can't take the saddle off my main horse to put it on the paint horse am I not able to keep the wild horse I tame or do I need to buy it from the market I use a pc can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong or what I can't do please

I dunno it may be a valuable wild horse. Took it the horse fence, but I’m liking tne Perlino Andalusian and fox trotter more. The gold turkoman is ok too. The white Arabian trips over the most ridiculous of things elite my butt.

I like the mustang, shire and a few others. But the arabians are legends. I have all the five horses i get to keep are the arabians. Black, wrapped, white, gray and chestnut. Their speed is marvelous❤

There was a mission, as far as I remember, the name of the mission was Veteran. I think the most beautiful horse in rdr 2 is The Veteran’s horse. And of course you can have.
I love Buell he is my favorite horse I'm so glad I saved the last couple missions for the epilogue
Buell is a one-of-a-kind Cremello Gold Dutch Warmblood, I suggest be careful not to lose him or get him killed cuz there are no other ones like him in the stables or in the wild

The red crested Arabian horse I can never find in that location or at all and I keep checking every chapter with both Marston and Arthur the horse never shows up

It can be a difficult horse to spot because of the colors and that horse tends to blend in to the area around it.
I currently have it for my Arthur it was difficult to find and tame.

Yes it will. I find also if the horses gender is at random then ride to that horse on the opposite gender that you want. It always works for me, cos I like to have the pink horse as a girl so I ride to the waterfall on a male horse before breaking it in
