Have to shout from the rooftops how lovely working with Rory was and how exceptional the guitar he made for me is. Him, Zach and Caelin definitely know wood...10/10 for the setup/fretwork as well. Didn’t even have to ask for any tweaks. Just perfect. Great video to revisit, Michael!
Very interesting! I have never considered Wenge for a neck wood. The most recent acoustic guitar I had built is a parlor size from The great Canadian builder Peggy White, with a red spruce top and wenge back and sides. It’s a year and a half old now and the sound is absolutely astounding already. I can’t wait to hear how it sounds in another 10 years. The Wenge rings like a bell. It’s really a special timber!
glad to hear that you know of her. I’ve got two instruments from her so far. I have a 12 string soprano guitar which is tuned from a to a, and I have the parlor. They are both amazing! She lives close to me, so we cross paths as frequently as possible :-)
Fantastic instruments!! I had the pleasure of trying them at the Holy Grail guitar show last May. Michael, thank you for sharing...great presentation!!!
Absolutely !! What you do is amazing. I guess it helps also the luthiers to get more visibility as well. Great stuff, thanks for your work. You should strike a deal with the Luthiers because you're making them a fine promotion ;-)

Incredibly interesting, great interviewing Michael! Been keeping my eye on Taran guitars for a couple of years now.
Gilbert Walker thank you Gilbert! Rory’s making some very special instruments. Check out the demo videos I did too to hear them up close and personal.
Excellent Michael. A very interesting video indeed. Regards, Phil.
MrPCT57 thanks Phil, I’m glad you enjoyed it! Plenty more to come!

Nicely done mate! Thoroughly enjoyed that
Karan Singh I’m very glad to hear it! Thanks for watching
@Sincere Roman you're right. Nobody gives a shit.
Loving this! Beautiful instruments and supreme presentation as always. Hats off my friend!
DA Musical Video Blog thank you sir!
@@MichaelWatts anytime. Absolutely love the channel. The videos are incredible. Just tried the sustain technique in your latest video. Works so well.
DA Musical Video Blog that means a lot to me mate, glad you’re enjoying the videos!
Awesome video. Will you go visit more luthiers to make videos of the same kind ?
Jason_Music I just might! Do you think I should?

Will the laminate rocklite neck material seperate over it's life? If it gets a bit wet from getting caught in a rain storm
Highly unlikely. Rich lite is more of a compound than a laminate as I understand it.
Enjoyed your video Michael, but as a Taran owner I am biased.
Biased and blessed Colin!
Wow 3.2mm top...that seems so thin. Must be really responsive.
As a working musician- how could I ever afford one of these!! They are works of art but up to £30k for an instrument.😅😅
