I came late to the Party with Automata. I'm currently finishing the Replicant remake. Would definitely love to have these remastered. I've heard people say they weren't as well received but knowing Yoko Taro I would probably enjoy them.
I’d recommend it. Drakengard 3 is a good game, other than the obnoxious frame dips. Things to keep in mind though, it’s not like Nier. It’s a lot more, uh, sexual with its story. I mean very sexual. Also it’s very much a comedy, other than a few serious moments. But hey, when the game is funny it’s really funny, so you won’t be suffering from bad jokes.

The game was generally mixed in how it was received with the infamous Justin McElroy review among others, but there's been many people who adored it all the same before it gained any mass appeal, that's the definition of a Cult Following.
Probably will happen some day. I feel like they might just mash all 3 of the Drakengard games into one like they do with the Kingdom's Hearts series. They'll probably also add on the mobile Nier game but only cutscenes or something so they can introduce Drakengard 4 or some new Nier game.

I think Song of the Ancients is the same song Inuart was singing in Drakengard. The new verses in Replicant 1.22 start with Furiae name being sung twice. o - o
Nah, the Song of the Ancients is specifically about a Black Book bringing chaos and a White Book stopping it, these books only having been created in the Nier world. Plus the Chaos Language, a future language born from present languages being jumbled, is only present in the Nier world, so it's only coincidence that the new line added in Replicant sounds like Furiae.

Remember. Devola and Popola are the betrayers. It's highly likely that they lied about the origins of the song. Also, there is alot of evidence that suggests that Nier is the actual start of everything and that Drakengard is actually the results of a infinitely recurring temporal paradox. A closed time loop that keeps cycling over and over. There's alot of things that point at the fact that humans may have been the ones that actually fabricated the magic of Drakengard. The Angelo's paradox is probably just the catalyst for magic in Nier in a time line that has already existed within the closed timeloop. Thus changing the original events. In a closed paradox timeline loop events can be altered to have similar cause and effects to events that may have already naturally existed before hand. This is why Accord is so important. And whatever Accord and her masters are up to is going to have a bigger significance moving forward.
Oh. And one more interesting fact. It is highly suggested in the official timeline of the lore that the Dragons from Drakengard are actually weapons fabricated by the androids in nier timeline using the data of the lost magic. These Dragons were sent "to a specific timeline" in order to influence the events there. And this also suggests that the watchers were actually Androids from Nier Automata timeline manipulating the events of the original Drakengard. You have to remember. Yoko Taro loves..... and i do mean LOVES.... to retroactively fuck with the entire timeline lol. I mean hes gone on record to say he actually forgot about stuff that he actually was planing for the continuity lol.

Honestly I caved in and got the ps3 version of this game. I have a high tolerance when it comes to frame rates so I don't mind the performance cons much. The only reason I know about these games is because 2B's costume was available in a game called Gravity Rush 2. After doing a little research who 2B was, I fell down a rabbit hole.

Drakengard 3 doesn't tie *directly* into 1, but 1 does to Nier Drakengard 3's endings are all "noncanon" to Drakengard 1, with the Novelization's unique ending being the one that's "Canon", then ending E of Drakengard 1 is exactly where Nier starts off
That's amazing so I need to play draken gaurd 3. The main reason I said I needed to play 1 is because yoko taro had more of a hand in the development and what I've heard is the 2nd and 3rd game he was only giving advice every now and then. Kinda like they took his artistic creativity and caged it.

That's not really true, it leans more into commentary of human faults into those things, not that those things in of themselves are bad, and even then the symbolism that's comparable to the real world is largely for show, it's really not as heavy handed as... Well download the ps2.emulator for drakengard 1 and 2. Then download the PS3 emulator for drakengard 3 then you can play the trilogy on pc
