The Abarth is such a striking car based solely on looks. It’s nothing like anything else on the road, dominated by Trucks and SUVs.

this car is amazing, my first, but beautiful. of course i'm going to always want a faster car in the future, but i will never want to get rid of this one. the entirety of it makes me want to drive it everyday and i cant get enough of it. its unique if you're in the US and its definitely an eye magnet ;)
100% agree, I’m in Canada and they definitely are like nothing else on the street, very unique car but no one has a clue what it is!
TH-cam recommended a small YT channel so I have to stop by and support a fellow small car channel and Abarth owner. Best daily driver ever. Every drive to work is fun

Had one for 2 years and loved it. It never felt like a proper car however. The driving position makes it feel like you’re sat at the dining table or driving a small lorry, not driving a small hatchback.
The power band felt pretty thin stock, floor it from 2k in second and you’re waiting around for a couple seconds before anything happens.
But, it made a great noise and put a smile on my face !
I have a 2017 pearl white Abarth 500c with the beats package…only 20k miles on it..the leather interior is great.
I got the beats also, what a system! Don’t see many 2017’s…very nice car 👍
@@rocketboyreviews1463 thanks, it’s the 2nd abarth I’ve owned, previously a 2013 Abarth. I got this one from an architect on south beach for a steal in this crazy car market..no one wanted it bc it’s a manual in Miami traffic..i love it it though! My weekend car!

I love my Abarth almost as much as my 170hp R1. the 37-38 mpg @ 60mph is nice too. mines fully loaded as well. sunroof. auto climate. beats. 17inch alloy. leather heated seats. full 5% tint cause of that useless sunroof cover. never get rid of her. cheers
I had a check engine light when switching out the intake (Recommend unplugging the battery when doing that) . I drove it around doing a few spirited runs and the CEL went away. Hope that helps anyone with the same issue

I am going to tell everyone on here , we can all agree Jay Leno is a well known car collector , that being said he owns two Abarth Hatchback and convertible , he states people should hang on to these cars and this is coming from a guy who has a multi million dollar collections . I have a 2015

I am seriously thinking about buying one of these. But they are very expensive these days. The only thing that is holding me back is I worry about the size and not having enough room for luggage. Btw you speak of the golf R which is cool but nothing is as unique as the Abarth.
I don’t think you’ll have a problem with luggage size, with the back seats down there is plenty, especially if you go my route with the back seat delete. With the seats up however, it’s a different story

@4:43 GTIs are in a different category of cars. The Abarth is a small performance car whereas the Golf GTI is a souped up grocery getter but for sure buying a new one is not a smart financial decision.

This is a fun car. But it definitely should not be used daily. In the USA parts are very expensive and very few mechanics want to work on them. I had mine for 6 months and then tons of problems appeared. I have fixed most of the problems but not all. The cost is more than the car is worth. I drive in the weekends to go to beach. I will probably never sell it. Have fun with yours!

Parts are annoying and will often get the wrong one online but for the amount this was for me when I bought it in 2018 was too cheap and fun not to enjoy it daily and its been solid for me. I don't do burn outs in it but the second gear skitches are wearing out my drive shafts which are not cheap. I've also left mine stock and just reduced weight. These multiairs dont like to very modded imo. Luckily I do have a local fiat dealer still to work on it if anything major does happen. Cheers
I work at a dodge dealership and it's always the PCM that goes out when people start modifying the abarth. Just a heads up

@@justindavis5898 pretty often they don't like aftermarket tunes. Got 3 in the shop right now all waiting on pcm. One also needs a bcm because all the head lights are out. They are fucked up little cars lol

Every time I run into someone who had one , they always say I wish I would have kept it , question to people on here does anyone know if a person has dropped. a 595 or 695 engine into a stock 500 Abarth , just asking
You mean swap the 1.4 for a 1.4 T jet? I don’t think that would be necessary anyway, I know of one in Italy that has a 1.6 Alfa 4C engine in it, but the Abarth 500 and the 4C share a lot of similar parts, basically the same engine minus the boar out too 1.6

A multiair motor is a problematic motor beware to the maintenance
130k trouble free miles on my 13' abarth. typical maintenance. i use only Castrol 5-40 and change every 4k miles. lots of front tires due to odd camber and wheel spin. always puts a smile on my face. faster than it seems slower than it sounds. almost as much fun as my 5vy R1 😊 ill never get rid of it and I've owned many vehicles.

@@Pluhdao same amigo. It always surprises me and others. The good gas mileage the reliability for me the fun factor the pops bangs and exhaust in general. Handles great. I don't take it as serious as a M3 class or c63 Amg or nothin but I don't have to worry about a 80k investment either!
