I'm proud of myself. I usually spend hundreds of dollars at Sephora's Savings Event. I even put myself in credit card trouble. This time I bought one thing!
Many years ago Jaclyn Smith said she’d been using Albolene Moisturizing Cleanser for years. It’s in a 12 oz tub and no fragrance. I use it to double cleanse. I love it. If you’re ever on a serious budget it absolutely works.
Oh Mary, I LOVE Unhide blankets. I bought one for myself and three for family gifts. They were a huge hit. You know I don't want companies to send me anything, but I'd make an exception with UnHide - total, total, luxury!! Lol, pull a 'MaryEllen' made me laugh out loud. Love you, my beautiful BFF...ME
That blanket looks amazing. I’ve been thinking about getting some Dippity Do and doing a set. Colleen Rothschild products seem like they would smell good. lol. I don’t know if they do, but I imagine they do. Love you and I enjoyed this so so much!
I LOVE Unhide!!! I already commented on your last video how I give the Lil Marsh as gifts to everyone. I love the little one because I don't want the heavy one. And the price 🤣 I have the wearable one too. It's not heavy and SO soft! Highly recommend!❤
Awesome looking blanket!! An Elementary friend, ride buddy [horses] & friend raised Chinchillas & they were so very soft! I wanted one just to cuddle! He wouldn't give me one 🤣😂I don't remember when he moved away. I used a pomade from Aveda when I had short spiky hair years ago to keep the spikes up. I just bought those long curlers with the clasps & I cannot wait for my divot on my head to heal! I just got my stitches out Monday so it will be a wait. I've just noticed how thin my hair has gotten this year. UGH! I never had a ton of hair to begin with, my hairdresser said I did but it was a thin hair shaft & baby fine. But my ponytail is way thinner 😭😭 I need to get my flannel shirts out of their box! 🤠
I feel you on the thin hair...they've always told me I have thin hair in quality and in quality LOL it's shocking when you see your already thin hair get THINNER! Don't ever stop giving me that cowboy hat emoji...it always makes me smile and reminds me of daddy!
Mary-my favorite thing I tried last month is the Sephora Collection About that Shine Laquer Shine lipstick in Pink Plasma and I have to tell you, it beats out so many of my other lipsticks that I am going back for more colors. I am fair medium and the color on me is gorgeous. Gotta love the price even more.
Your hair is looking fabulous. I think I bought everything out there because my hair tends to fall as limp as a soufflé that fell and what’s working for me or Kendra products the Kendra volumizing, moose hairspray and even their cream, shiny pomade or whatever it is so I’ve been using old camera, but my hair is growing so fast. I love it. I have hair for the first time in many, many years
@ thanks Mary. I have that same issue. The Kendra hairspray will keep my hair in better than anything else I’ve ever used, but I could still come through it cause I don’t like helmet head.
For heatless curls I highly recommend Cozy Curlers! They now have three different sizes and I bet the short ones would be perfect for you. I have the original and asking for the long ones for Christmas. They are versatile and you will get different levels of curl depending on how much of your hair you wrap and how tightly you wrap your hair around the curler. My favorite set for nice wavy curls is using only 3 curlers and wrapping my hair not too tightly. One curler for each side and one for the back - curlers placed at the crown and start wrapping from the base to the ends. Once each curler is wrapped and contained by the netting I put a scrunchie around all three then off to bed!
I have Huda Pretty Grunge, and I've been using it almost nonstop for 2 weeks. If I'd known Alter Ego would do one so quick, I'd have waited. I'm passing on the newest Huda. Maybe A.E will do that one soon. ❤
I finally tried the Caliray tubing mascara and I absolutely LOVE it! My oily skin and watery eyes melt mascara, including most tubing mascaras, so I usually wear only super waterproof kinds. This mascara is the exception. I love everything about it, including how easy it is to remove, so it's going to Italy with me next year! I also tried the Pat McGrath Skin Fetish foundation and love that too. And finally, I tried a Persona 24 Hour Waterproof eyeliner and love that too. It's been a successful month! The only thing I didn't fully like is the Naturium lip balm tubes, not because of the formula, but because you practically need a vice to get the product out of the tube.
Hi Mary, thanks for the video! I like your hair as you were wearing it in the video. Anyway, my favorite thing tried this month would be the Revlon Illuminance Skin Caring Foundation. It works well on my very dry, sensitive skin. I tend to have good luck with shades in Revlon foundations; the lightest one is usually a good match. My next favorite is the Misthaven palette. I really, really wanted the Pretty Grunge palette when it came out, but I wasn't going to spend $69 for a palette with 7 out of 18 shades that I wouldn't use much if at all (6 shimmers, 1 black cream.) But spending $31 for a dupe (including cost, shipping, and sales tax) is different even if I don't get much use out of 7 shades. Also, it was a birthday present from me to me. I saw several good reviews of it, so I bought it. I've only used it once so far, but I'm going to keep at it and see what I think! I'm looking forward to hearing your opinion.
Oh I remember liking that foundation! I think I thought it was a dupe for the Mario one! I've not had any trouble despite hearing that palette is getting flack but I might be changing horses for the basket and a month especially since My Savior is coming back in stock on Monday LOL
@@GlitzyFritzy I wouldn't be surprised if the Revlon product is a dupe for something. And it has no alcohol or fragrance which is important for me. Revlon seems to be good about that.
Hi Mary your hair looks really good, but the in-between stage is always frustrating 😂. A new favourite this month is a moisturiser. I have severely dry skin with rosacea and eczema, so I need something really rich but will still sit well under spf. Most "dry" skin moisturisers just aren't rich enough and those that are can be greasy. I'm fine with a greasy balm at night, but during the day I need it to work under spf obviously. Anyway my favourites over the last few years are Kate Somerville Delikate and Paula's choice ultra rich. Both are quite spendy with my absolute favourite the Delikate being really ouch on the wallet 😢. I've been on the hunt for something less expensive that still keeps my skin comfortable most of the day and I have had a lot of fails (I used them in the Summer months). My new favourite is Zeroid oint cream - it actually works and has a really nice texture. It doesn't have the extensive list of good ingredients of the other two, but I layer lots of stuff underneath them all anyway so I am getting ingredients in my other products. It's so much more affordable than the other two and a bigger size at 80mls. Now I will probably treat myself to the delikate😂, but I don't have to try to find it on offer all the time and eke it out. I can slather this on without guilt😂. Best wishes x
Yes, vintage hairstyles are sooooo hard!! One reason is that we have much better shampoos and conditioners these days than we had even as late at the 1960s, so we now have much cleaner, healthier hair. Clean hair is the most difficult to style, which is why we have to put pomades and gels and sprays in it to get it "dirty" enough to style. I've always had a tough time with up-dos. The best I can do is a simple bun. One of my friends was a flight attendant for several decades and became an expert at the French twist. She showed me how to do it, but I never got the hang of it. She doesn't put her (still lovely) hair into a French twist anymore because she can't lift he arms high enough now that she's in her 80s (but looks like she's still in her 60s!!). I'm liking your longer hair, but you've had some adorable short cuts (and wigs) in the past, so I'm sure you'll find a happy solution!
Hi Mary! The unhide blanket is absolutely beautiful!!! I love the compression packing cubes. Best of luck deciding how the wear your hair. I wear my hair short, I don’t have the patience to deal with longer hair these days. I like my hair in a wash and wear style. How is your back feeling lately? I am being referred to a spine surgeon to see if an implanted stimulator would work for my back pain. If not I may have to have a fusion with rods and screws. I had a laminectomy from T11 down last year and still have a lot of pain. The Huda palette has beautiful colors. Love and Kindness, Teresa
I'm so sorry you're dealing with back pain! I hope your appointment goes well Teresa, please keep me posted how it's going. Unfortunately my guy has told me twice now that surgery isn't an option for me. I have good and bad days which I know you are PAINFULLY aware!
Hey Mary! Good to see your beautiful smiling face! I hope you’ve recovered from vacation. I wouldn’t mind a heavyweight lap blanket but I couldn’t sleep under one at night. I don’t like anything heavy. It looks mighty comfortable and soft though. Is it weird that a company would make such a soft eyebrow pencil?Have you seen one similar before? We won’t tell on you about the city lips.😂 Thanks for the great video. I had another cancer surgery Wednesday. I have 9 stitches just above my left breast. But as ME says, It’s all good with God in my life. Take care my friend!❤
You are such an inspiration Lisa...I hope you heal up quickly and that's finally the end of it! You know I don't think I've had a pencil that soft before
Well I went on the same hair journey a year or two ago with the vintage wet set! Lotta body was ok for me and I like foam rollers the best. My problem is/was my gray hair no longer holds a curl. I have to use sooooo much product to hold a curling iron curl. The wet set was a little better but not much. Any humidity and my hair fell flat. So now I’m just embracing my straight hair. It’s almost to my bra strap and I may not cut it for a while. The hair piece journey is the same. I have multiple scrunchies, clip in ponytails and I even went to a salon, got two “bang” pieces that clip in, custom cut and colored….and I don’t wear any of them. Too heavy on my head. I do a French twist with a barrette a messy bun (check out diy hair school for lots of thin hair tips, she is good) and an assortment of hair clips etc. Recently I’m on a mission to try to get rid of the brassiness in my hair from well water, heat and product buildup. Just got a clay that you mix with conditioner and an oil to get rid of buildup. If it works for me I’ll let you know. Bought a filter for my shower head also. Hairstylist told me not to use heat over 350 degrees because that can yellow gray hair. I broke down and bought the big jar of Colleen Rothchild cleansing balm. Love it! I got the autumn gold brownish lip gloss from City Beauty and I like it. I wear more warm tones. Thanks as always for your reviews. Sorry this was long. Oh and my daughter used to make those weighted blankets and they sewed in glass beads for the weight and could customize how much weight you wanted. Be well.
I can't make up my mind. I like that if I need something quick I can just pull it up or plop on a cap without looking weird but I think my shorter hair was more polished looking!
I can’t believe you are thinking about cutting your hair, it looks so cute. But I do understand, if mine goes past a certain length, I’m ready to cut it myself. ( that would be a disaster) I’m always on the lookout for new and interesting hair products, might have to give your recommendations a try. This new foundation keeps popping up on my social media. It’s called NoMakeup Makeup by Victoria Jackson. I think she had a makeup line in the 80’s or 90’s. Have you heard anything about it? Great video. Have a weekend 😊❤
Something I picked up recently that I like a lot is the Dior Addict Lip Glow in Berry. Read a review of it that stated it's a light stain that doesn't bleed into lip lines, which is exactly what I was looking for. I've been happy with other Dior products, especially their Nail Glow clear polish with a pink tint, so I forked up the 40 bucks to try it. It's a balm with a lovely buildable tint that lasts almost as long as a good lipstick, and it has a light chocolate-mint flavor that is only noticeable when first applied. Love that I can apply it with no mirror and it always looks great. Gonna pick up another shade, Rosewood and/or #8 Dior Red, during the Sephora sale!
Hi Mary, I remember Dippity Do too. I curl my hair with T3 Hot Rollers. Super easy and the T3 Hot Rollers haven't damaged my hair. Your make up looks pretty. I've been wearing a Pat McGrath lipstick called Divine Rose. It's a lovely formula and color. I ordered some of those new Lisa Eldridge refillable lipsticks. They looked too pretty to resist. Thanks for sharing your favorites. I hope you and your family have a wonderful, relaxing weekend. xoxo Karen
Hi Mary, those glitters in Alter Ego pallets is why I don’t buy them anymore, I had to give mine away and I also don’t buy Huda pallets for the same reason. Matter of fact I think I only purchased 1 pallet this year, a Viseart cause they don’t use glitters. So happy to see you and I love your longer hair.🥰
Hey Mary;). You can definitely wear your hair short/pixie style. Looked cute on you. I had short hair once in my life and didn't like it on me at all. Lol. That un hide blanket looks soooo luxurious. I have a dollar store dupe for dippity doo and want to try lots of curls. Maybe tonight I'll curl it. Finally!!!! Its very chilly weather here. Love it. That city red lip looks beautiful. If it doesn't "move" in the lines I'll get it. Loved all of your reviews ❤️. Happy to see a video from you;). ❤❤❤😊
Dippity-do has been around for sooooo long!! My mother used it, and so did Roger Daltrey of The Who (my favorite rock band in high school).Yes, the Bed Head sprays are great! I have Masterpiece, and it never lets me down!
Very nice products. BTW, no one wears a red, darker lipstick better than you. Maybe that amazing supersoft blanket can be used as a comfy throw while you're watching TV or relaxing? ENJOY!
:) I am in the minority with you regarding sparkles Ms. Mary...I went ahead and got the lil hide robe. The box thingy I said I was going to buy never went through some electronic glitch) so I got the robe instead...
Hi Mary! Love your product recommendations. Haven’t been able to watch in a while. Work overload, ya know? Your hair is getting so long! I just got a pixie and I love it but I’m thinking about growing it again?? 🤷♀️ lol
Ooooo Unhide gonna have to check it out!!! You look so cute!!! Just bought some Jones Road makeup it’s nice a little greasy def have to use setting powder!! Do you like it?Love ya 💗❣️💪🏼☝🏽👑👑👑
Hi Mary, have you tried Dr. Dennis Gross, Extra Strength Daily Peel, l haven't tried them yet, because I am using other skin care right now, there are 2 in a package, l was wondering if you ever tried them, hugsssss ❤❤❤
Been away from YT for a few months but guess who was the 1st video I watched 😅 I love weighted blankets so think I would love that blanked 😍 Missed you girlfriend 🥰 xxx from the UK 😘 PS : Don't cut your hair, it's looking gorgeous 😍
The reviews I've seen of that new Alter Ego palette are not good. I'm hearing a lot of complaints about fallout in both the glitter/shimmer shades AND even some of the mattes, and those cream colors are not getting any love at all. There are a lot of questions about whether AE switched labs or something.
WELL ACTUALLY they did change something with their lab recently but I don't know that it had anything to do with the shadows themselves ... I don't remember having an issue with blending the shades I used though
I guess I'm right there in the minority with you beautiful, i don't put glitter on my eyes or around them only bc i don't think it's safe for my eye BALLS 😆. I love glitter, just not on our around my eyes. I'm glad I'm not the only one 💙💙

Dippitty do….didn’t know that still existed! Such a funny name 😂
Right?
I have the medium Unhide in pink… love❤
Ooooooooo I should have picked pink...you got the one I should do next LOL
I can’t believe you are thinking about cutting your hair, it looks so cute. But I do understand, if mine goes past a certain length, I’m ready to cut it myself. ( that would be a disaster) I’m always on the lookout for new and interesting hair products, might have to give your recommendations a try. This new foundation keeps popping up on my social media. It’s called NoMakeup Makeup by Victoria Jackson. I think she had a makeup line in the 80’s or 90’s. Have you heard anything about it? Great video. Have a weekend 😊❤
No I sure haven't heard of that Bonnie!
I love that you love God, so much!! You ain't afraid to speak about Him either, cuz honey i do too, and so am i 💙💙
That means so much to me thank you.
Mary your hair looks awesome short! I love my short silver hair. xx
My hair is just being a drama queen right now LOL
Oh, I have had that a couple of times and it really is good!
I hope you and your family have a wonderful, relaxing weekend. xoxo Karen
Ooooooo I bet that PM lipstick is gorgeous Karen! I hope you have a fabulous weekend too!
love you to ❤
🥰
Love the look!
Thank you Kim!!
Yes, and now you know also why I created my pallet like I did!
@ yup and I love your pallet
I tried the city lights lip gloss, for the first time & love it!
It’s got a texture that’s hard to explain and I’m glad that you like it too
Thanks Christina… I leaked that red lip. Look at the pin note so you’ll know when it’s for sale.
Dippity-do has been around for sooooo long!! My mother used it, and so did Roger Daltrey of The Who (my favorite rock band in high school).Yes, the Bed Head sprays are great! I have Masterpiece, and it never lets me down!
You always have the most interesting things to say, Annie 😉💋
Very nice products. BTW, no one wears a red, darker lipstick better than you. Maybe that amazing supersoft blanket can be used as a comfy throw while you're watching TV or relaxing? ENJOY!
Thank you so much! And yes, I’m going to be snuggled up in that throw for sure....like RIGHT NOW LOL

:) I am in the minority with you regarding sparkles Ms. Mary...I went ahead and got the lil hide robe. The box thingy I said I was going to buy never went through some electronic glitch) so I got the robe instead...
Oh I can't wait to hear what you think of it, I love that robe!
Hi Mary! Love your product recommendations. Haven’t been able to watch in a while. Work overload, ya know? Your hair is getting so long! I just got a pixie and I love it but I’m thinking about growing it again?? 🤷♀️ lol
OMG first...thank you but I'm literally to the point where several times a day I'm changing my mind on my hair LOL
Ooooo Unhide gonna have to check it out!!! You look so cute!!! Just bought some Jones Road makeup it’s nice a little greasy def have to use setting powder!! Do you like it?Love ya 💗❣️💪🏼☝🏽👑👑👑
I really don’t like it. It seems too greasy and feels gross on my skin 😢
@ Yeah same here - a waste of $$
Hi Mary, have you tried Dr. Dennis Gross, Extra Strength Daily Peel, l haven't tried them yet, because I am using other skin care right now, there are 2 in a package, l was wondering if you ever tried them, hugsssss ❤❤❤
I have! They are really good!
Been away from YT for a few months but guess who was the 1st video I watched 😅 I love weighted blankets so think I would love that blanked 😍 Missed you girlfriend 🥰 xxx from the UK 😘
PS : Don't cut your hair, it's looking gorgeous 😍
LINDA WHERE have you been? OK you don't have to answer that but WELCOME back my sweet friend! I've missed you!
The reviews I've seen of that new Alter Ego palette are not good. I'm hearing a lot of complaints about fallout in both the glitter/shimmer shades AND even some of the mattes, and those cream colors are not getting any love at all. There are a lot of questions about whether AE switched labs or something.
Interesting to hear. Mary's eye look today looks absolutely fabulous though doesn't it?
@@coffeebeforemascara - It really does, but it always does. Our gal's got skills!
WELL ACTUALLY they did change something with their lab recently but I don't know that it had anything to do with the shadows themselves ... I don't remember having an issue with blending the shades I used though
Thank you!
I guess I'm right there in the minority with you beautiful, i don't put glitter on my eyes or around them only bc i don't think it's safe for my eye BALLS 😆. I love glitter, just not on our around my eyes. I'm glad I'm not the only one 💙💙
I'm with you here… I have got it in my eye before 😳
