I modelled the robot character from scratch and i got a regular bike model from a blender addon, but i added my own sci fi kitbash assets on there to make it look scifi along side a few of ian huberts kitbash stuff
@@nishaan3d928 ahh okay. Thats really cool. How did you control your bike? I also modelled and rigged a bike and it was my first time rigging and animating anything. I had one control bone that controlled the location and lean angle and one steering bone. Suspension worked automatically with ground detection through shrinkwrapped bones. My problem was, my animation always felt a bit clunky and not very smooth. You can look at it on my page if you want. Just trying to seek some advice :)
@@sunnybwoy4547 Ok, i had one circle empty at the bottom middle part of the bike which is what i used for the whole rotation and location of the bike. I also added some suspension to the bike. I used floor constraints to keep the wheels on the floor, and added abit of noise on the z location of the bikes animation to give it abit of bumpyness. Initially, its mainly in the animation, i used the graph editor all the way through and animated it step by step, you can see that the first blockout test in this video, the animation if abit stiff, biut i refined it after.
@@nishaan3d928 mhh okay I see. I actually animated the bikes body the same way I animated the suspension but moved the bone that was the parenta little further back to make the bike kind of react to the suspension. My floor was may more bumpy though and it was still not really necessary. I think I just should have taken more time to adjust the animation in the graph editor. Didnt really do anything there. Only moved the keyframes around to make the animations fit eachother timewise. Thanks for your reply, I know what to learn next now :)
Hey, did you make all the assets in these five weeks? I’m not trying to criticise your work but that seems very unlickly for the complexity of some models. Very cool scene tho
I recycled the bike model from my previous short animation, I spent the first week making that robot character (on the bike) from scratch. I also made the buildings, shops, I used some shops from an asset pack I made a while back. I also made the sci-fi taxis, the monorail, and the drone from scratch aswell. 🙂👍 All these models I made during the 5 weeks
Feel free to check out my patreon for assets, breakdowns and tutorials: www.patreon.com/Nishaan3DStuff
