both cases are correct (2n+1) and (2n-1) coz both cases mai odd no aata hai, but for such questions consider taking (2n-1) bc for this case n=1, 2,3 but for (2n+1) n=0,1,2,3 toh agar youre taking the latter which is (2n+1) make sure to reduce the value of n by 1 kyunki is case mai we also take in account the zero. in short , (2n-1) le rahe ho toh n ki value wahi rakho jo question mai hai and agar (2n+1) le rahe ho toh n ki value mai se 1 subtract karke daal lo. hope that helps
