This a totally a wonderful cover. The meaning of 'cover' is that the band covering the song adds their personality to it,... i'm a total Carcass Fan and i'm blown away by this track, it's truly fantastic! Big ups!!!!
see a lot of debates about covers in the comments, I think a cover isn't supposed to make the original better at all, rather it should sound considerably different to be any interesting. this is a very awesome one. some covers make no sense for the lack of considerable difference from the original.
I totally get your point. I'm a big Carcass fan as well, but it's still fun and interesting to hear one of their songs covered by a band like Kalmah. It was just a random bonus track for the japanese edition of 'The Black Waltz' :)

i dont think the point of covering a song is to make it better than the original. This proves kalmah can take a song from out of their "genre" and make it sound like it should be part of their own. IMO 10 out of 10, its refreshing to hear a grind/death metal song with sooo much melody,dynamics, harmonies, etc...
totally skin o my teeth is actually very spinebreaking cover from em!!! but yeah in this one dont know they wanted to tegreate it so hard the keyboards they kinda derailed it not bad but i feel it to forced to sound kalmah cover u know i think they could ve make it better i guess thats all my insatisfaction cause well Kalmah rocks!!! Yeah, covers....there are soany different opinions on how covers are supposed to be done....so keeping that in mind, I have my own opinion on how they should be done. Personally, I didn't enjoy this at all. Sorry to all the fans of this band. I didn't say your favorite band sucked, I merely said, I didn't enjoy their take on this song.
You didn't get the point of covers. ;) It's not about improvements ... take Iron Maiden for example. There are tons of covers of their songs. Bands do not even try to be better as the metalgods themselves. It's a tribute. And a good cover has the bands own touch in it. It isn't supposed to be "better" or a 1:1 copy of the original song.
i love kalmah and i play a lot of their songs almost daily i respect them but sorry i kinda hear this version like too off from the original dont know i dont think they nailed it with this one sorry carcass `s original hardly need any improvements
