The Romans regarded war chariots as obsolete. The oxcart was the main vehicle for transporting good. In other words the carts were made to be pulled by teams of oxen and nothing changed when teams of horses to pull stage coaches, wagons, etc. were added to the mix.
That is not PTSD it is just bad dreams with a side helping of survivors guilt. PTSD hits you when you are awake and forces you to react emotionally like it was the first time.
@@calvingreene90 PTSD is a collection of symptoms that can include survivors guilt, nightmares, flashbacks, hyper vigilance, and many others. PTSD is not just flashbacks of the event or events that caused trauma. It unfortunately has many symptoms that are often overlooked like increased anger and thoughts of harming yourself or others. I have been dealing with my own PTSD from my time deployed overseas and I have found most people experience a different set of symptoms. There is no set of symptoms you will specifically feel because every mind is unique and will require different means of therapy. Anyway thanks for the conversation and response.
@@calvingreene90 Never said every bad memory is PTSD. I really do suffer with PTSD stemming from my deployments during my time in the Army. PTSD is more than just flashbacks and I thought the same way most people do in the beginning. It's why I never sought treatment, because I didn't have flashbacks so I must be fine. Look, I don't wanna argue because I agree with you not every anxious moment, bad dream, or tough moment is suddenly PTSD. Once more I really do appreciate of conversation and thanks.
@@lawrencem.37 I am fortunate that I never experienced anything leaving me with survivors guilt but I have experienced several things that gave me wake up screaming nightmares for months. I still get the nightmares occasionally but they have faded to merely bad dreams as have the memories faded. PTSD doesn't fade with time and doesn't respond to talk therapy. // a microwave home psychiatry kit probably would work.//
For a little while I was down one of those internet rabbit holes one can easily find oneself in, I watched one or two train videos and suddenly my feed was full of them. One of them was about how a country in Europe, France I think, decided to modernize their train system and switched to a new gauge of track. Trouble was, the new gauge was larger, and the trains were bigger. It was only discovered that it was a problem when one of the new trains couldn’t fit through some of the old stations.

PTSD nightmares are no joke and that author described it pretty well. Good story.

When the raging human is smart enough to see a good joke in time to use it effectively you are screwed.
"The Americans use this rail width because of Romans." Has to be some of the craziest true logic I've ever heard.

More likely a tunnel. Easy to adjust a station but a tunnel would be something else. @@johns9652
