I sensed that this anime is the most different of it's genre I don't think Liz is actually evil it just seems too cliche but rather she is ridiculously a flawed naive "heroine" that her kindness can actually harm others in some ways without her realizing it. As for Alicia she is the only villainess that has caught my attention in any series.
she was actually tasked by the King to do just that. The Saint is so naive and so he wanted someone to get her to go to the path where the Saint is not naive and stupid with her actions, because in the future they'll need the Saint for her job.
Liz is very much a product of her upbringing and Saint status. I won't spoil anything, but it is because she is the Saint that she has had no push back or trouble in her life what so ever. No one has ever told her no until Alicia. Since her life has been perfect and peaceful without her putting in any effort, her behavior never changes. She doesn't know what it's like to struggle and strive for something you want since it's always been handed to her. Someone like Liz can never truly be empathic of others and would be incapable of solving any problems. Alicia is trying her best to help her realize that, but Liz still needs a lot of work since Alicia is really the only one pushing her right now.
I agree 100% with Alicia. Liz is spewing all this nonsense about saving people and friendship and all that. But she's not doing anything. She's all bark and no bite. In that scene, she only restrained Alicia instead of the kidnappers and said if you have waited I would have come rescued you? That wasn't rescuing. It's like Alicia is trying to get her to see and understand reality and the way things in the world are, but Liz is living in her own world and her followers are just part of it. I'm not saying Liz is evil but, she's not very bright and doesn't seem to understand anything. I mean, watching her character, I think she loves the attention and worship of a saint more than helping and saving people as she claims.
Also, I'm with Alicia at the end of this clip. I would rather stay true to myself and be me. Then follow someone who doesn't know what they are talking about and living in Lala land. Even if it makes people hate me, they can't stop me from being me and living my life.
Its kinda insulting the way she say "i will save you! So believe in me!". Like people has the ability to save themselves they just chose not to. It also lets other people to be too dependent on you which is not healthy both for her and for others
What Alicia said is true, Liz should be more serious about Saint's responsibility instead of giving meaningless speeches wherever she goes without do anything. Someday, the Saint's imagen will fall like her if she keeps this belief. Alicia gave to Liz a wake-up call.
Alicia is 100% correct here. If all Liz does is talk the talk and not walk the walk, then what does she expect to accomplish as the Saint? Who, exactly, does she expect to save by simply saying warm fuzzy things? She didn’t save Alicia when the latter and Gill were kidnapped. Duke did that after Alicia defended herself and Gill! Liz needs to grow up and get with the program FAST, otherwise she’s actually going to get someone killed next time.

@@terribels and this just within the academy just imagine the entire place they live and it will explode in fear of being a follower to the Saint

Yea, the "Saint" here isn't one of benevolence, but one of ignorance
絶対アリシアちゃん嫌ってるでしょ
