This is rad! I've never seen them play the Cheshire Cat version of the intro to Carousel live. Funny how Ben Wah Balls and Zulu were played live relatively frequently until Dude Ranch came out, I doubt Tom even remembers the lyrics to either song
I grew up in SD and saw them so many times at SOMA. I was at the show when they changed thier name from BLINK to BLINK-182. This brings back so many memories. Thank you for posting!

@samabbitt5587 He said "era". Because Tom's white strat is more associated with Cheshire Cat era, and this is a bit before that album even came out. Besides, the only song that Tom is playing the white strat is the first song m+m's. Literally every other song he's playing the red strat. Hence, red sticker strat era tom.
24 seconds in and even better at 1:53 you can clearly see Tom playing his white “sticker strat” that Marks Mom got him before he put all the stickers on it.
Whoa! I was at this show but can’t remember if this is the old Soma side stage or main stage. Pretty sure it was side stage because either NOFX or Pennywise was on main stage. I could be remembering a completely different show too. Man, I’m getting old lol
@@J_the_IV no amount of time could make me forget core memories at Soma, my entire experience there i was so awestruck thinking “blink played here, blink played here” crazy world we live in 😂

the bass is awful 😅
After hearing their “show” at Dennys gave me old school vibes, so wanted to find their oldest concert recorded

Were they video or audio bootlegs?
@@clover182Harry both!

That m+ms riff kicks ass! And marks loud bass! 😂
Thanks for posting this 😊

Why Scoth is not there ????
What is Tom saying at the end of the second verse in Zulu? Because it isn’t what the regular lyrics are
This is insane. Earliest live recording out there, right?
It sure is!
preeetty sure. its so rad
Really love/miss the Tom’s old guitar tone on Cheshire Cat!
Mark’s bass sounds so bad
Remember this is nearly 30 years ago and who knows how old the recording equipment was.
Plus, this is recorded mostly in front Mark's bass' speaker
Sounds great to me
in a good way
During carousel you can hear more of what I think the bass actually sounded like.
The classic Carousel intro live...i can die happy. Thank you for the upload. Always good seeing the humble beginnings
I feel like if you were at this show, there is absolutely no way you would ever think that this band would go on to be extremely successful lol
That can be said about 90% of blink performances
lol true@@wienersmcbutts
Nah watch blink-182 wembley 2004 or dublin 2004 its God tier.
The full Carousel intro?!! Love it!!
He is the best at doing bass intros
Fun Fact : Mike Krull was the drummer during this show, we have no idea where he is now.
Would be nice to hear some musical project he have had
shout out to mike krull
Who is Mike Krull? What was his work in blink before its formation?
@@alexcarlini I think it's 1995 nor 1994
Scott's family moved away. He moved in with marks family to get back in blink.
Fuck what a. Bass of mark on this is fucking sick. Now i hear it clear hes bass guitar
For real, it’s great to hear mark
red sticker strat era tom

It’s rare af to see a clip of blink playing the full intro to Carousel, this the first I’ve seen I think. Thanks for posting 🔥🔥🔥
18:52 Goddamn I never knew Mark could do downstrokes like that
Goddamn
Bro rivaled James Hetfield for a sec 😂
This might be the oldest Blink concert on TH-cam
17:41 Carousel start
Bass 182
green day was at their peak during this year and blink was barley staring
Some would argue this is peak blink too though, it went downhill from Enema and TOYPAJ
Blink are miles better than green day 😂😂😂
@@Tinyvioces*extreme doubt*
Is this the first Blink 182 show?
No but it’s the earliest blink 182 footage on the internet
I think they had shows as early as 1992
The first show blink-182 is March 30,1993 at The Spirit, San Diego
@@actlikeshadow cool to know, thanks! Where did find that out? Is there a show flyer out there anywhere?
This makes me happy to be a Blink-182 fan their debut album is very underrated though
yeah they were going nowhere with that drummer
Do we know who they played with at this show?
Sounds just as good as them playing live today. Hahaha.
I do love that bass intro on Carousel
can't hear the bass. at all.......
😂
I had never heard Zulu! It was like hearing a newly released blink song :)
That is in EP called They came to conquer uranus, wrecked him my favourite one
Thanks for sharing!
My pleasure!
Fentoozler so underrated
True!
I hope they play EMO LIVE. DO YOU HAVE ONE?
I don't but I cover that song. It's in my channel hope you like it!
Wow is this actually 94? I thought 96. This is insane
So what happened to Scott Raynor Blink 182
This. Is. Insane! Where did you find this? And do you know why Scott wasn't drumming that show?
Well, it's from 1994 so it's probably in their pre Cheshire Cat era.
@@mo_chiptu Tom met Scott first though, it's not like they didn't meet Scott until Cheshire cat
@@XxTheShootingStarxX Oh wait, I forgot Buddha exists. Lmao.
None of these replies even answered your questions lol
scott moved away for a bit according to this bootleg comp i found on reddit
Playing so fast. Damn!
Is that the stickerstrat before the stickers and the dimarzio humbucker (or duncan detonator idr) ???
He never used detonator it’s the invader
Who did they open for?
What’s the name of the bass Mark is playing here?
Fender Precision bass
To bad we cannot hear Tom. He still has his first red strat !
24 seconds in and even better at 1:53 you can clearly see Tom playing his white “sticker strat” that Marks Mom got him before he put all the stickers on it.

awweesome show to be at!
Looks like the size of their sidestage. Guessing so because I’ve played plenty of shows on the side stage and the dimensions look right lol.
