Jimin said he focused on the concepts of “determination, passion, and overcoming” and that the title is about him, well, setting himself free. As the latest member of the group to break out during the band’s years long pause to allow all seven to focus on their solo careers (as well as attend mandatory South Korean army service), Jimin said all his bandmates were nervous before dropping their albums and singles, but luckily, “their results were absolutely great.”

My other favorite jimin solos are lie and serendipity- check out it’s live performance from few years ago but still very very good - he performed it in wembley- incredible!

I’m a Jimin bias and the first time I seen this mv I was so shocked. I never expected something like this from him. Hi, thanks for reaction. Set Me Free Pt.2 is prerelease track of Jimin debut album as solo artist and him telling his feelings he had during two years of pandemic.
The whole album is amazing. The lyrics are raw and honest. I think a lot of people can relate even though theirs stories are different.
I personally like all songs in the album and can't pick just one. All 5 songs tells a story that I would summary:
Face-off confrontation, trying to get rid of traces he doesn't accept in himself.
Interlude: Dive dive into dreams
Like Crazy escapism, choosing avoiding to see to stay in the dream even if it breaks him. Avoiding to see the reality.
Alone continuing the theme, trying to run away, feelings on loneliness. did he possibly woke up from the dream?
Set Me Free Pt.2 accepting the true face of himself, confronting himself,getting free. Cant hide himself anymore.
Jimin's another solo song Lie sounds something you never heard before. A live performance is good too.

Jin released ”The Austronaut”, also autumn -22 and J-hope was first out with his album Jack in the box in July-22 also a fire album but if you want to react maby start with the MVs ”Arson” and ”More”. Just some solo recommendations from this last year, there is so much great music from them. 😅

JHope released Jack In The Box and headlined Lollapalooza, he just left for military service last week.
Suga I’m assuming will be on military service next. Suga aka Agust D released an album this week and started his tour this week in NY. This album wraps up his trilogy. For the story line he created, he said to watch Daechwita, Haegum, Amygdala music videos in that order.
I think next music maybe Jungkook because he was recently in NY working on music.

I cannot tell you how much my chin was on the floor when I first saw this MV! The visual representation of the dark thoughts and emotions that he wanted to be set free from was just amazing. And the vocals - natural vs auto-tuned was like him arguing with himself internally. What a masterpiece! Like Crazy and Vibe with Jimin & Taeyang should be on your list too!
Thanks for your reaction. One of the things I love most about BTS, is that they are so creative. Both as individuals and as a group, they constantly surprise us. Listening to their music and watching their performances is an adventure - always interesting, fun, and thought-provoking. I listen to a lot of the artists you react to, and really enjoy a lot of it. But I have to admit that BTS' work inspires more than any other artist's has.
Jimins song all are amazing ones. LIE, FILTER, SERENIPITY,.. Do lyricks video first and performance right after. He is amazing dancer very talented, Kpop King, rookies bible.. This is just one of the songs from Jimin's album FACE. He said that this album was created because of how he felt during the pandemic. Of all the members of BTS, Jimin got the most hate and even death threats from antis. He used to be the most insecure one of all the member and he was too critical and hard on himself. The song Set Me Free Pt2 is him battling with his inner conflicts, negative thoughts, depression, anxiety etc which were caused by haters. If you noticed, the concept is dark. All the dancers and him are wearing dark outfit. He was lifted up and he changed his outfit into white at the end of the vidieo which means he was finally set free from all those negativity. The auto tunes were used not to cover his voice but to make it sound like his inner screams and anger. Even the choreography has meaning and symbolism. His first solo album FACE contains the story of his struggles and hardship being an idol. He told his story through the songs in this album. It's really a masterpiece. BTS is not splitting up. They're on an actual hiatus because of their military service. Also, after 10+ years of non-stop work, they needed & deserve to take a break from the industry grind. Despite that, each member who hasn't yet enlisted has stayed pretty busy.
So far, four out of the seven members have released an album or EP, Jin released a single, several have done collaborations or features, and we are still anticipating solo releases from the two youngest members.
I think you guys will LOVE RM's album, "Indigo," & I'd suggest listening to it in its entirety. The opening track features Erykah Badu and the album actually gets better from there. Suga just released the third album of a self-produced trilogy that he performs as his alter ego, Agust D. It's another that I think you'll connect to.

earlier in his album his lyric spoke, i think, of voices in his head he can't recognize, so i wonder if that maybe could be partly the reason for the very different voices via autotune? eg, the lyric translation had in quotes him apparently telling himself "f all your opps" is that his real self talking to himself or one of the voices mentioned earlier in album?

Jimin has a whole new album FACE and the new single Like Crazy, and SUGA of BTS has a brand new album D-day (under the name Agust D!) with the singles & music videos Haegeum, People pt.2, and Amygdala.
Each member are doing solo albums so their fans will have music while BTS are in Mandatory Military Service for 2yrs.
All members should be finish military service by Dec 2025 and will come back together.
Some members are already enlisted.
This are the new solo album that BTS members are finished you may want to listen to.
BTS had the free to make their solo album as they wish, so it's nothing like the group music. This album was made 2022-2023

Ty for this. As they go in the military, they are releasing solo work. We got a full album from Rm and J Hope, EP from Jimin and just this week Suga dropped an album. Jin kicked it off by doing a single with Coldplay (catch the live performance in Argentina with intro by Chris Martin.) Jin was first to go in, J Hope just went in, and we don’t know what order the rest will enlist but they are keeping us busy for now. Looking forward to when they are all back together. 💜
